The major thing they fixed with this retro of the 9, that real OG’s & collectors will appreciate it; is the orientation of the Jumpman on the midsole is finally facing the correct way!
They even stitched the size tag on the tongue instead of the heat seal.
Most of the Jordan silhouettes started the designing process 2 years in advance, so 2 years before 94 was 92 when Jordan globalized basketball with the dream team, so that’s basically what the 9s represent and are in no way inspired by baseball

A big difference between the 2024 pair and the retro is also the power blue cut outs on the sides. It’s a thicker leather to create that. The OG’s have it, but the 2010 doesn’t.

I might sound crazy saying this, but I usually won’t say nothing like this, but I like the retro better than the OG because 9s look better with the 23 on the back in my personal opinion but they still clean but I still prefer the 2010 pair🔥 it just looks funny plus on the bottom I do like how the jump man on the bottom is blue instead of black I actually like both never mind lol.. but yeah I like the 2010 pair better I know the 1994 pair didn’t have the 23 on the back. I just preferred the 2010 9s look better with the 23!on the back

Tinker’s concept drawing these were called “Air Jordan International” and also had a strap that thank goodness Tinker scrapped lol But far as these break the leather is garbage, and the powder blue part looks like cheap plastic. I got them yesterday and I was very disappointed especially really wanting these.

I heard that the globe and different languages was because the nba was getting worldwide with Jordan being why. I know a lot of people who couldn't even get cable in the 80's and early 90's. And by that time period the whole world could easily watch the NBA.
