Yes, he may has dressed dark and looked dark and probably many people watching the first movies thought him to be an evil traitor and death eater. In fact he was a traitor. But he didn`t betray his own people, Hogwarts. He betrayed Lord Voldemort and his cruel henchmen by showing Harry the right path as it has been foreseen all the time. He didn`t kill Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore because of his evil nature. He killed him to earn Voldemorts trust and to deceive him. All of it was part of Dumbledores plan. It was part of something bigger than Severus Snape himself. In the end he did what he had to do even if it meant becoming the scapegoat. In fact Snape hated Voldemort for what he did to Lilly Potter, because he loved her too. Imagine Lilly would have decided to love Severus in stead of James. That would make him Harrys father and his name would be "Harry Snape". That would be too much though Snape is one of the best characters. He even cared after Harry like a father. In the end he died for a greater good. Alan Rickman did a really great job when he performed Snape, as he always did on TV (like Hans Gruber from Die Hard). May he rest in peace.

There are times I can feel like I like or care a lot about Severus Snape. Few other times here and there, I wonder to myself like I don't know what to think of him or anymore. At times, I would think of him as very skillful and wise and that's why I think of him as a special character to me. Other times, in Severus Snape's personality, I may find him to be so mean or simply rude and cruel, and I sometimes would wonder why he can be so unfriendly. I don't understand why a skillful wizard like him has to act so cruel and harsh just because he knows strength is the basic necessity in order to survive longer in his life. I like that Snape is smart. I don't like when several times Snape is mean and cruel based on how he acts. As for me, I'll just plainly lay it all out on the line. I know it's okay for an emotional girl like me to feel heartbroken. I can be heartbroken too about many things or when particularly someone brings me down because I am a very emotional and sensitive girl and my feelings can get hurt easily. But never could I tell if or if not it was ever much okay to be cold or cold-hearted. In my opinion, I would believe that when a certain man is so cold is based on his cruelty, selfishness, carelessness, even offense at times. So I'm not sure if it is or isn't okay especially for a man to be cold. In other words, if Severus Snape really was a very cold man or male character, then I only know how I feel, especially about him. If Severus Snape seriously didn't mind hurting feelings including mine, inside my feelings can extremely get hurt so bad I couldn't overcome heavily emotional pain. I would never want to hate Severus Snape to this day, but even I can't deny my feelings on the hurt inside. If Snape hurts my feelings on how he does or acts, maybe I can be hard too on him for it as well. And if Snape was the kind of man or male character who doesn't care if he ever hurts someone's feelings and wouldn't hesitate or be afraid to hurt other's feelings, I would disagree with him for that because feelings do matter when they are hurt. Oh, but I guess it's okay for Snape to ever feel hurt over something or someone else! That just wouldn't be fair at all that Snape can feel hurt but others can't! Maybe that's the heavy cruelty in a lot of men in this world and in movies or stories!
