She replaced her sister in a Musical last year, not at DMGP :) Her sister was supposed to be the main role of the musical 'Hair', but since she got pregnant, she had to step down and her sister, Saba, took over the main role. Her sister is actually considered to be one of Denmarks best singers, if not even THE best.

The light show designer is Danish, Kasper Lange he is also in charge of the Eurovision 2024 light show. Scene and stage choreography is Claus Zier also Danish. The song is written and produced by two Swedes and Danes. The song was written by a Dane Pil.
By the sound of it, you think Danes are not capable of putting together a good show or music, this is entirely not true, Eurovision in Denmark is just not something good artists wants on their resume , why? Because in Denmark Eurovision is old fashioned and people usually hide the fact that they watch the show. nothing good ever came out of it for any Danish artists. Artists will be known for the rest of their career as the person who appeared on Eurovision. Even Emilie deforest who won the international show never made it big in Denmark. The people who watch Eurovision is not a part of the popular crowd let’s just put it like that. I was bullied a lot for watching it as a kid.
Denmark and Danes are fully capable of putting on a good show and make good music, to the point where Sweden hires Danes to be in charge of the show in Malmö this year. Sweden had ABBA and a lot of other very popular and famous people come out of Eurovision, from the beginning it was seen as an opportunity to make it big, so artists wants to be apart of it, and Eurovision is the people party in Sweden, people watch it with pride. We never had that in Denmark, and ever since we won the last time and the hosting tv channel that is payed for with tax money decided to over spend by millions of millions of dollars, I think they have taken the back seat and not selected any winning potential. This is my opinion the reason Denmark have not been sending anything good in years.
Our brothers and sisters in Sweden are amazingly good with music and we are proud of their success, and we are grateful and happy that they helped SABA win Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024, for us Eurovision lovers still left in Denmark, we appreciate it a lot, enough with being embarrassed by or selection for Eurovision, this year we are proud, Go SABA!❤
Holland uses Swedish songwriters and producers too, last time when
Duncan Laurence (2019) won, the song was co-produced by an Englishman and written by a Swede.
In the end of your video, you mention why both the Norwegian MGP and the Danish MGP are called the same, in a nutshell it’s because written Norwegian is actually Danish, from when we were one country. Danish was the official written language with German and Copenhagen was the capital. Melodi Grand Prix is French, it was the original name of the show, Denmark and Norway just kept it, but today we call it MGP…

Denmark usually send something unusual out of the box, like last year which a was K-pop artist hugely popular in Asia, that just was way too modern for a highly old-fashioned Eurovision style, or like the Viking Higher Ground from 2018, that the Eurovision jury absolutely hated but was getting a high score by the European tele-voters.

Of course, it is not a Swedish production when it is Danish TV. There are two Swedish and one Danish songwriter.

2 Swedish songwriters makes it more Swedish than Danish 🤯🤪😂🙃
Also I said it looks like a performance from MelodiFestivalen... Is that not a compliment ???? 🫶🤯🙃🤪😂

    Well, I completely disagree here. Sweden is Eurovision's top 1 country - I love our Neighbors💙🇸🇪 🏼
But this is Danish, but a touch of Swedish profonalism, but it is very Danish, ig that correctly, it writes and produces both top Danish and Swedish songs.
What you see this year is that Denmark has taken Eurovision seriously - and therefore you now taste Danish music, when it is well here appropriated to Eurovision - and of course also with respect to our beloved neighbors Sweden, which holds Eurovision in Malmö arena - it is actually only 1/2 hour's drive from Copenhagen, whereas Stockholm is 7-8 hours from Malmö. So of course we have to send a fantastic number as a gesture to Sweden🇸🇪💙🇩🇰♥️🇪🇺

Yes and that's fine but I don't think you really listened to what I said because I said it sounds like the kind of songs that I hear in melodifestivalen.
Also don't forget that Swedish people produce and write almost 40% of music in this world so you as a Danish person should consider this a compliment and be happy to have 2 Swedish songwriters on this song.
      Great job 🫶

I myself work with TV and artists - both in Denmark 🇩🇰and Sweden🇸🇪
But Denmark has come a LOT - ask a Swede??
About 5-7 years ago I would have told you right -
Denmark has become insanely strong when it comes to music👌🏽
Sweden just knows something with Eurovision, and makes it a huge show, 🎉which is fantastic - and Sweden is my 10 times bigger than Denmark - But Denmark is much further ahead in a lot of things - and I'm not saying this because I'm Danish Born , lives as much in Sweden, has lived in Sweden for 7 year a love 🇸🇪💙
But Denmark has just become super strong and is a very rich country economically - and you can feel it.
But Sweden will ALWAYS be Eurovision number 1♥️💙🇩🇰🇸🇪🇪🇺
      Love to ALL
      ♥️🇪🇺

No offence, but this video was actually overdubbed with the studio version. In fact, the original video is titled Studio Mix. She experienced several technical difficulties which means her actual performance was not great as this and the Danish broadcaster just decided to overlay the studio version on her live performance.
Added controversy was she didn't even win the televote. She was the jury winner.

Saba and her likewise talented twin sister Andrea were both adopted from Ethiopia by a Danish family when they were small children. Her more famous twin sister had the lead role as Whitney Houston in a musical, and for comparison you can find her here on YT by looking up :

The staging is not at all Swedish but very Danish, the song on the other hand ticks all the most woke Eurovision boxes by being all inclusive with a black (but highly European looking) girl who is promoting LGBT+ and the song being a Scandinavian pop tune written by a pop hit maker from Sweden. So no, this is very far from typically Denmark and the televoters did not like this to win, but the jury did, which was a mix of hardcore Danish and foreign Eurovision veterans.
