In this video you'll see a complete DIY HOW TO access the blend door actuators on the drivers side of a Cadillac ATS. Please watch the video thoroughly and order the correct part.
I own a used car dealer in Southern California and I'm always getting into DIYs or something new. If you're into that kinda thing please consider subscribing.
a million thanks. you saved me alot of money and time. i followed your instructions and made this so easy. keep making more vids for this car if you can because there is not alot of videos out there.
For sure Max. I’m always creating good DIYs for those that need exact instructions. I appreciate the feedback. If you are local and need a car reach out anytime. 🫡
I believe the wrong part you had is the blend door for the passenger side that one has arms
Good intel
Thanks for your help. Not looking forward to it but it needs to be done.
That's the air door actuator not the blend door that's why the arms r on it
Good job bro nothing wrong with making it work i do the same
Thats right! If it indeed works we go with it.
What about mode actuator
More proof that GM hates the people who have to work on their garbage!
Hi there im from Mongolia
my 13’ ats blowing only window… There is not moving the foot and face position… what should i have to do?😢 sorry my english 😝
So, if the passenger side is blowing hot and drivers side blowing cold. This needs to be done on the passenger side?
I have the same issue, passenger side, plz let me know what did you do to fix it ?
@@shadijalamneh4812 no fix. $1500 in labor to fix it proper. I ended up bypassing my heater core with a bypass hose adapter. Closing off the passenger side vents and getting the windows tinted… best I could do for now. Good luck as it’s a 10 hour labor cost job…
@@relocyo55 yeah its very expensive, i was thinking if there is a way to block the heater door from the inside completely and keep it open on the cold AC side, might be an easier solution if its doable
@shadijalamneh4812 hey if you find a way let me know. 100% would work. I did that in an old Chevy and worked great. Not sure if it's doable in this application...
Did OK until you started cutting parts. There's at least 5 different actuators in the dash. It's likely you had the wrong one. I just ordered every single one of them. While the dashboard is apart every actuator will be replaced. It's not worth saving $25 and I got the OEMs very cheap.
Thank you. I have two options. Not post the video or post the video to allow people to learn. The process is better than you will find in any other UA-cam video and I aim to always have best angles camera angles to truly help the DIYer. Are you correct? Indeed you are. Glad it worked out for you and I hope the repair ended up successful. I own a used car dealer and post day in the life and diys. Check us out on instagram as well. @greenowlmotors
If your car is 2.5, can you help me with the fuse that controls the visor lights? Thanks
I have the heat on in the rear and the AC barely blowing in the front. Is this the part that needs to be replaced?
Hi...my '15 ATS hvac mode function stopped working after I lost coolant from the common upper pressure radiator hose leak. Coincidence? ..something needs to be reset? Heat and AC are fine but NO switching from the floor to dash or defrost.
Follow up...took it to the dealer for a $200 analysis. They said the circuits are ok, but the mode actuator was seized. They were able to move it manually for the AC to blow from the dash vents, but when it was re-energized it went back to the floor position. Dealer says the dash needs removal...$2k out the door. I may pull the lower panels for a look see myself.
@@ThePudgie123 same issue, my dealer quoted me $3,000 out the door... any updates?
@giovannii5759 I have an opportunity to work in an air-conditioned garage this week. I'm going to pull the driver's seat back off the rails so I can lie flat on the floor with good lighting and see what I need to do to remove the actuator in question. I bought both for the left side, the left temp looks really easy.
did your engine light come on telling you that it was bad?
You changed the mode door actuator not the blend door actuator. blend is on the bottom
I need mines changed 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️and it’s really something can how can I get you to do mines
Same thing happened here got an actuator with the arms on it
Is that not the passenger side??
Where can I drive to to get your help buddie
It's funny how he says make sure to get the oem part so you know it's good quality and you won't have to replace it soon. Yet the original one went bad showing poor quality and needed to be replaced relatively soon
Well then go aftermarket and pray. The part is cheap go OEM. You do you though, this is just guidance. Good luck.
He needed to take the whole thing out he took it apart wrong and he broke the part that is the right part
Easy if u change the motor to the other part
Been In the cold for months
You took off way too much
