Going backwards was the scariest bit. Way more than the big drop at the end. I wasn't expecting that.

It would be great if they could restore some of the original effects such as the electrical sparks and expanding barrels on the lift hill.
Movie world is lazy they don't want to spend the money on fixing effects but invest on the next project instead look at arkham asylum it is actually leathal weapon still they just rethemed it
I went on that ride when I was six.. I'm now terrified of roller coasters 👍

Went with my parents and there was hardly anyone at the park, we continuously went on this ride over and over again. Roller coaster nostalgia'd.
The final drop is what the ride is all about... AWESOME

I was there in mid 2010 with my friends family and we were watching the people coming down from the wild west ride and this guy in one of the boats pulled out his wallet and phone and it was wet!!!! LOL!
I have been on that and it is so FUN!! ESPICALLY THE BACKWARD DROP!

I use to work part time in logistics at movie world and always jumped on this and the superman/scooby-doo roller-coasters. Never got sick of em.
Longest line ever when we went but it was so worth it .
I had to wait like an hour to get on 👍 nearly peed my pants

what i love about movie world is that the rides have a storyline... not just random rollercoasters

Oh yes, remember going on here. I think I was 5 or 4. We were having a holiday trip in Queensland and we stopped here and this was the first ride I saw. I wanted to go ride it and it was very fun.

Went on this ride last Saturday and Ive never been on it! I've been to movie world like 4 or 5 times as a kid and teen but never went on this ride until now and omg! The last drop scared the crap out of me! It was so steep!

Imagine going backwards on the last drop
I'm always saying that on splash mountain. in the last part before the final drop the chain is pulling us up, I can only imagine the chain breaking and we go down backwards
+kimmy cuthbert it isn't a chain. I've studied mechanics. Don't believe me I actually figured out how a steam engine worked when I was 8. It's a conveyor belt. Well depends on if your talking about the Disney land or the Disney world. Disney world has a chain for it. But Disney land has a belt that has friction that pulls the boat up. But yes it would be more dangerous to be on a belt or a chain because a chain has locks that your boat fits into .

I worked here in 2002 - 2003. At the top of the first lift hill, as an attendant, you have to sit in a dark booth to make sure no one tries to stand up or get out of the boat before they go down backwards. To this day I still hear the bandits telling me... "Badges! We don't need no stinkin' badges! Give us your gold!" Plus, back then it was still tied into the Will Smith Wild Wild West movie. So I heard the Wild Wild West movie theme song over & over & over...!! The ride is in such an out of the way section of the park that it wasn't worth trying to go anywhere when it was break time, so the leads (managers) would let us hop on the boats for "ride test" on our breaks!
when i went on it i snuck on a bottle of water so that when you see the pic of me ijm sitting at the back with my family just casually drinking a bottle of water

I went there in 2000, just as that Will Smith movie "Wild Wild West" came out, and I think they had named or renamed this ride to the 'Wild Wild West Ride'. They were playing some Will Smith music videos in the line up area...
Last thing I did before leaving the park for the last time was go on this ride 10 times in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed it :)

This ride was one of my favorite rides at movie world
I went on this ride after all the bigger rides there and suprisingly this was my 2nd favourite ride.
I started chuckin the biggest hearty ever when we started going up for the drop at the end hahahaha.
Thank you, we were there three weeks ago and I was too chicken to go on this ride.

I love this ride. Last time I went me and my mum went on it probably around 7 times xD We were there extremely close to closing time so they let us go on it multiple times without getting off at all, because there was no one else there to ride it. It was definitely a great day, and hoping to go again soon. Great video!
I've done that before but on one of the rounds it got stuck going up the first hill thing so we had to like climb out of the boat and behind the fence and we didn't get to go on it again that day

Great ride. It's the building up in suspense that is the best. And at the end it's like BBBBBBBAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM woop woop.
I remember going on this with my brother and cousins when I was 7 (im almost 15 now) back in 2009 I think, It was the best ride of my holiday this was, the last bit going down the slope at the end with the water splashing up is the best bit! shame the camera was shaking and couldnt experience it again :( over all was my fav ride I Aussie, I missed it coming back to NZ

This has single rider line which is so good because you legit have to wait like 2 mins. Me and my brother just kept going in the single rider line and had to ride with strangers. They say they will split you up but me and my brother both went in the single rider line and got to ride together somehow.
