Also the fact that it gives a lot of energy and theres a -% thing you know its not a zayin
U don't think this energy measurement is intended to be in a lore, it's just a gameplay mechanic.

I think that this abnormality is equal to little red mercenary in terms of usefulness.
It becomes much easier to supress dangerous abnormalities whan you have a character with a much higher resistence than usual and heals everyone around hin.
And If you notice that his counter is low, u can intetionaly release a weak abnormality and supress It just to increase the counter.
That's a very good abnormality to have in my opinion :^)
Scarecrow is the best choice (punching bag of the corporation).

For me it's only an issue of

I'm not a man of pink, but damn. I would wear that armor and EGO gift any day.
I think that, this abnormality has some sort of deep meaning.
A soldier of [Redacted] nation? Whatever nation he from is doesn't matter. Soldiers are soldiers. Whatever he/they who joined the war for his/their reasons, once they really get to see the war itself, the persons who in those wars intend to change even if they like it or not. Maybe they wouldn't even know how much they have changed until they got home.
In this case, the Army in Pink. A soldier who joined his/their war to protect the people he loved, the good-heart people of his nation, friends of his who lived in the same home, his country, to fight the evil enemy off from contaminating his people's hearts(Deep Meaning: To make his people safe and happy from the fire of war by doing what he/they thinks is right, fight off the enemy.). But once he got into the actual war itself. The little pink heart of whom, who vowed to protect his people, begin to question itself. Was killing is really the way to help his people? Isn't he joined the war to protect his people not to kill the other? Shouldn't there be another way to solve this problem? What if those enemies of his were fighting the war for the same reasons? What about those, who were waiting back in his(enemy soldier) home? Aren't taking away someone's life bad? Especially taking someone whom the people waited for him(enemy soldier) back home. Are these enemies is really the *BAD* person here? If he takes away their life does that mean he is a *BAD* person? Should he be *_Killed_* ?
But after all that thoughts, his self-conscious kicked in, reminding him of his own words, the people back in his country who he vowed to protect, reminding him of his duty as a soldier. After that, his little pink heart has been stained, but he doesn't care anymore. He would now do anything even if it means to get his heart darkened, even if it makes him a bad person: *A Monster* . Anything that will keep his people safe and happy even if it means killing the old him.
He fought on until the war ended. His objective is completed. His people are now safe and happy, for now. But there is one problem. His pink heart is now completely black, darker than the dark sky in the night, dark as the depth of his mind which his reasons and his old-self lost in it. He has killed the enemy who should really have been the one who gets to experience this: the feeling of home not the cold-death by his bullets. He felt pity for those who died in the war. He didn't want to kill them, during the war he wished for the enemy to stop fighting and just gave up. It would've been easier if they just gave up and went back home to their people. But of course, the war continued on to the end. He thought to himself, he didn't deserve this at all; he didn't deserve to come back home. His heart is black and his people's is... he is... if he... No, he can't be with his people. If he was there, he could be dangerous to them. He doesn't want to contaminate his people's hearts. Then one thought came into his mind, it so bright that it filled his dark thought with blankness white. He opened his mouth in awe to the idea of his that seems so right. He placed the muzzle upward to the roof of his mouth. He didn't hesitate; He pulled the trigger...
You can say that my story here is the time before he died and got reincarnated as an abnormality.

And THAT IS MY THOUGHTS on the Army in Black. I wrote this by comparing the abilities, the appearances and the behaviors of the abnormality. Such as Pink Heart turned to Black Heart like a soldier who fought in war and lost his determination. The ability of the abnormality to exploded itself as a suicide way to cleanse the facility of the people and itself like a soldier who vowed to fight the darkness, that if even he became one he would not hesitate to do it.
But of course, suicide is not the way and it is a serious matter.
For those who have lost loved ones to it: With all respect, I didn't write the last lines to insult any of you. My apology.
For those who suffers: Please hold on, don't lose your determination. I wish you a promising happy end. Even if it seems so dark, try to find someone or something to help you out of it. Once you see it, cling on to it! Even if your actions seem to drag it down with you, don't be afraid, don't let it go! Once someone realized, I'm sure they will try everything to help you out of there! Please hang on for that day; hang on for the day you will be truly happy. You have my wish.
My conclusions:
Army in Black is a deep meaning abnormality for anti-war ideals.
The fact it's only want to protect and don't want to kill.
Just like those who fought in war, It lost its own meaning, senses, ambitions and purposes.
Just like this anti-war quote:
"War is a really horrible man-killing state of conflict that makes men killing each other. It gobbled up all men who were fighting in it and changed them into ugly productions of itself. Even if good-hearted men were joining in with determination to change, stop, or end it. Once they were there, all men would intend to change no matter how hard and stubborn they were before. They will eventually change physically or mentally into that hideous grotesque of war."
Conclusions of the story:
War is horrible, suicide is a serious subject.
Lobotomy helped nothing.
And so did The Foundation.

Damn this is actually very fitting in the context of PM lore and the City itself, i wouldn't be surprised that PM will apply this kind of setting with a handful paraphrases if they decide to add Army in BLack/Pink in the next game.
LIke, both Philip and (especially) finn actually fits your explanation of army of pink's naivety of being "the good boy". I can imagine someone verbally bitch slappin finn and saying "dude grow up, life is shit, your "family" is dead because the light of the library pulled a Love Town on them (refer to chapter 1 PM's leviathan comic)" Then finn would just lose it.
@@luke2143 almost all abnormalities are connected to the city and it's people due to abnormalities being a manifestation of the people's will. Though some are references to various literatures. Some of them are a mirror of the city.
Like how Apocalypse bird mimics The head with it's arbiter(Judgement bird), beholder(big bird), claw(Punishing bird)

thankfully i have schadenfreude right under aib but whenever i see its counter decreasing its always at 1. its a pain in the ass to supress too when you have lv3 employees on the upper layer still.
update: FUCK schadenfreude. dead butterflies is a lot more helpful if you have a pale and a hefty black damage doer
update 2: schadenfreude my beloved. it helps tremendously when you have QoH and need to kill a few clerks- i didnt have any aleph gears at the time i wrote the original comment but now that i have AiB's, it just helps a ton. thanks schaden and thanks aib for the gear that carried me through the silent orchestra's grinding.. i still think FODB is a lot easier to suppress but this will do just fine.

Just know that ZAYIN are safe to handle Abnormalities that don't really pose a threat, and ALEPH are the most dangerous Abnormalities out there.
Army in Black is NOT a ZAYIN Abnormality, it's an ALEPH Abnormality in disguise.
