I am sure that Lewandowski's rating in Football Manager does not differ much at the time of his playing for Lech Poznań. This is not the point. We can't deny the fact that without his hard work and determination he wouldn't be player he is today therefore we don't even need game ratings to confirm that. However referring to this evolution in FIFA or ratings in any other game, who cares if those are perfectly accurate or not. It is more important that they can show us an overview of the player's career to a greater or lesser extent. This evolution more or less reflects the course of Robert's career. That's why I believe the saying from zero to hero fits here perfectly. Of course you don't have to agree with that.

@@Yebatch911 Even 3rd division Countryside clubs produce their fair share of worldies, and most world class players don’t suddenly become world class the very second they get to the big stage. In reality they were world class for years before even when playing in Farmer’s leagues, it’s just that no one recognised it because they hasn’t been tested at that level. They don’t just suddenly go through some outrageous +15 growth spurt like they seemingly do on FIFA - no academy can do that. It’s all a matter of shifting peoples perspectives. With hindsight I can easily say that Lewa probably *should* have been at a Sporting or Barca, and he definitely would have been good enough.
Yeah, he started in Legia Warsaw academy. Legia's academy is very weak. Fortunately he later moved to Lech Poznań - club that can produce great players and has very good academy.

Lewandowski had a much more difficult start in his career. He never had a chance to gain skills in top clubs until he moved to Dortmund. Messi and Ronaldo started out in big clubs with great youth academies and were prepared from an early stage in their careers for big football. In any case, all three have God's blessing on football!

I remember back in 2013 I had to write an essay for english exam in primary school. Was given a few topics to choose from, I chose option discuss a hero of yours. I wrote 2 pages on why I think robert lewandowski will be the greatest soccer player of all time. The defining moment in picking Lewy for my essay were flashbacks to watching full game of dortmund vs real madrid Champions League Final where Lewy scored 4 goals. I got A+ on exam 😉
Another funny story reinforced my thoughts on Lewy. A few years ago I had a chat with workmate from Poland (now my boss), he said he actually trained with Robert Lewandowski around 2007 for Znicz Pruszków, Lewy was around 18, my mate was 16 playing in youth team. He said everyone in central Poland at that time knew he was destined for greatness, possibly the biggest talent from Poland. Apparently he was skinny but already near perfect player. To outsiders it looks like he came from nowhere but Poland knew this was coming 🇵🇱🇵🇱
