The original had better management of excess strap length. Don’t know why Lululemon opted to use elastic bands to manage excess strap length in their updated version.

I have an Athletica bag in tan that is almost identical. I just bought a navy Lululemon for me and a black one for my son’s girlfriend for an extra little late Christmas gift. We’ll be exchanging gifts in 2 wks since our son was deployed during and after Christmas and we haven’t been able to get together yet. So excited to see them and hope she loves her bag!

Finally snagged one! It’s the new model in the way that it has the same branding and hardware as your white one, but it’s smooth like the black one. They have not raised the price as of yet, and I got mine for $38
The black one is my go to easy bag for walking my dog and running errands too!

These Lulu lemon bag is one of my favorites. I have one and just purchased one to give to my daughters birthday. She will have two. Great video. I can definitely see that the texture of the bag has a different texture. I love the cream bag. The one I purchased was still $38. I guess o got it before the price increase

I have the original black on black version like yours, I love it and the nylon feels comparable to Longchamp or Prada. I also have the newer one in magenta, and the nylon feels a lot thinner, more like a windbreaker jacket material. I do like the black one better -- I'm petite and don't need an extended strap. But the magenta color is fabulous!
Interesting - about the thinner nylon. It seems Lululemon may be testing different versions of nylon. Glad you’re happy with the black one! I agree the quality is 👌!
Great review! I have been trying to get my hands on white opal for the last 2 months! I just bought the larger one in store and it has a 2L capacity (double the original size) and runs for $48. At the moment, it only comes in 3 colors- black, silver drop and grey sage. I love the new larger size, especially since I always have my 2 kids in tow so I like being able to carry a little more of the essentials for them and my sunnies!

In regards to the crunchy vs silkier nylon, I can hopefully provide some more insight. I own the trench and white opal both in the new version with the extended strap. Trench is the silky material and white opal is exactly like yours in the video. From what I know, the new version isn't exclusively wrinkly or silky. It depends on the color and material that they use. I've seen some older models ebb that are crinkly or have some other texture as well. I'm not exactly sure what goes into the process of dying and picking the material for this to happen, but it is a thing for both old and new models. These things go so fast anyways that it is hard to process and make an informed purchase when you see one available for purchase lol. Hope you enjoy your new ebb!
Yes!! I think you’re right. The texture of the nylon seems to vary! I’m curious if the other ones with extended straps have silkier nylon options - I would assume so. Anyway, as you say, they all sell out so fast - no time to process! 😂
@@hellocatwalkcity I would love to know as well! My sister has the black one in the extended strap and her nylon feels thicker and more substantial than both of my ebb that are also the extended version.
I agree! I have both the original belt bags and the extended strap and both come in the smooth nylon and crinkly material. I like both but i do find the crinkly a bit harder to clean! The smoother nylon I just wipe with a baby wipe and it’s done. The crinkly one, I have to work harder at removing the stain. Still love both though!
@@Elphie8a I typically spray the crinkly and silky one with shout and toss it in to wash with detergent and it worked well. How do you typically clean your crinkly one?
When you first did the lululemon review , I ordered the bag, unfortunately it didn’t arrive at my US address, so I went to my local store and they ran out of that version. I bought the new extended strap one. The nylon is the same as the original one. I’m glad for that as I don’t much like the new type.👍
Sometimes when the orders flood in, it seems Lululemon cancels some orders. It happened to me once and happened to many others. I’m glad you were able to get the extended strap version with the silkier nylon. I think it may just be this off-white color with the crunchier nylon 🤷🏻♀️… perhaps Lululemon is experimenting a bit.
Definitely will need to check out the new one. I usually wear it across my chest and the black one feels ok but would be nice if it was slightly longer. Still love it. On camera I like how the new one looks. TFS. Great video as always💕

Got the extended. Gave me nothing at all. So disappointed. Have to use it as an actual belt bag and not crossbody😢

Thanks for talking me out of buying this new version! I didn’t realize there are elastic bands on there. The older model is way better design.
My exact complaint about the updated version. Elastic bands are dumb.

I’m in my mid-fifties and I wear belt bags exclusively crossbody. Lululemon does have crossbody bags though but not in this particular line. It feels more secure for travel. Unfortunately the new version with the longer strap length isn’t quite long enough for me (plus size). If I find the larger capacity one in store, that might work for me. But I’m not in a rush for one.
The $44 price is probably for Canada because I just bought mine in the 1L in the black color and it’s still $38 🖤 great comparison Tfs!! I love the updated version of the bag and didn’t realize it was the newer version so I’m very happy with my purchase

Thanks for this great video! I just purchased the Everywhere Belt Bag 1L for $38 today online. Not sure what 1L means. It’s black with a little silver logo and a black zipper. I’ve been checking the site for weeks and they’ve been out. They finally had one in! Excited to pick it up at the San Francisco location on Union St. tomorrow. Actually I just learned 1L means small. It looks like the sizes you have 😊 Also mine looks like a silky nylon.

I just bought the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag Large 2L today in black. It is $48 USD. The Everywhere Belt Bag 1L (you have in white) is still $38 USD. It has not change prices. I made another order to see which size/color I like more and bought both. I prefer the 2L because you can definitely fit more. It fits my phone (Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra), 6 ring key holder, key pouch, card holder, round coin purse, and a mini bum bum cream. If you want, it can also fit a full size zippy wallet or a mini pochette in it but it takes a lot of space. But it does fit.
What is the difference between 1L and regular size? Have you compared the difference?
I like the clean lines belt bag better. It's slightly bigger and easier to get your phone in and out of.

I bought both the larger size and the regular size on the website today. The larger was $10 more at $48, and they only had 3 colors available in large vs. all the colors offered for the regular size that was still posted for $38. I got both in black and will see which I like better and want to keep! I really hope the regular size is the version you got and not this new longer strap version that doesn't look as clean on the straps with the nylon being more bumpy. On the website, it looked like your version. They also had a black version with Lululemon branded all over the strap that was too over the top for me, but it sold out, and then they put your black version up as soon as the branded strap version sold out, which I like so much better.
I’m curious about the larger size! I love this size a lot and it fits plenty, but I think the larger size may be good for those who need to carry more. Hopefully you’ll be pleased with what arrives!
@@hellocatwalkcity me too! The larger size says it holds 2 liters of contents instead of 1 liter, although the size dimensions are certainly not double the size. Looks best on the male models vs. the female models and if you want to share it with your significant other or carry more stuff so it looks almost more unisex compared to the regular size.
@@hellocatwalkcity I got both of them today. Took a side by side photo of them but can't seem to figure out how to post it here. The larger one doesn't look all that much bigger, but it fits a lot more. Definitely keeping the larger size and returning the regular size. I love that it fits my water bottle along with phone, sunglasses, card case, keys, etc. The regular size is a tight squeeze if I want to include a water bottle with all that stuff and definitely need that walking and running miles around the city every day!
I have the updated black version but have ordered the larger one in camo, looking forward to an extra bit of space & using it for a trip to UK in March 😊

I do prefer the silkier nylon as well, and I saw today that they had restocked the new model (with original strap length like my black one) with the silkier nylon! So that makes me think maybe the crunchier nylon is reserved for the extended strap version only 🤔. Either way, good to know the differences exist! Glad you were able to get one! These sell so fast! 💨
I just got a back one with a shiny logo few days ago and price still $38.
FYI - The new belt bag in black is actually nylon material like the old one. Since your comparison is with the white I think that one comes in a different material. I also bought a mini belt bag in black with the same material as your white one. Not all new belt bag is in that material as the white.

It looks like it’s just one tag with “Lululemon” printed on both sides. Hope that helps!

I hate the elastic things they put on the new ones so when my mew one comes im going to add the tri-glide myself so its like the old strap
I bought a couple 3 years ago to use as my bag when walking my new puppy. Just bought a couple recently for the T Swift concert. I do not like the new ones. They loosen on me as I walk.
I have the original black and will never purchase the new one. The new one has terrible quality and is not the same! I almost wish I bought more belt bags in the original material but thanks to TikTok for the cause of this. The belt bag was $38 forever and now the price hike is annoying because of demand.

The white one is the only one that has that material. The new model black and most other colors is still the same material. Not a good comparison.
