International HX 620

This video is to show you the new International HX 620 truck. I can't tell you enough how great a ride this truck has. It was developed by International to enter into the vocational market with a truck that can fulfill any job you need handled. I personally have been extremely impressed with the trucks handling and performance and have had great feedback from everyone I have shown it to.

I'm so glad International - Navistar decided to keep the CAT inspired dash and interior. So much better than my 9400i interior which ran for what, 25-30 years with no changes except the curved windshield in 2000? Trust me, if I could remove my entire dash assembly and install this one on my 9000-series cab I would in a heartbeat. My truck might be a 2003 model with the last non-egr Detroit Diesel S-60 12.7L engine but I just had it rebuilt top to bottom and installed a new transmission so essentially I have a new truck all over again with an out-dated boring cab interior. Since this cab and my big sleeper 9400i cab are one and the same, I can't see why all of this new dash style won't interchange directly with my truck although I've been told I have to use the current gauges and ICM module for my engine package. I like this dash so much better. And yes, I am planning on having my cabs factory installed air-suspension replaced with the brand new style from Hendrickson suspensions where the air-bags are outside the frame rails instead of inside close together as they were originally. This will make my cab 100 times more comfortable. Why should I spend all that money buying a new truck when I can keep rebuilding the one I have which is paid for and still essentially have a new truck? I do love this new HX series design but it's out of my price range. Maybe a used one in a couple of years to replace this one I've owned for 7-years now.

Okay,it's a caterpillar ct660 with a Cummins engine.which is fine.the only issue I have,are the gauges.there's nothing wrong with individual speed and tach.every manufacturer has there own take on vocational trucks.the international paystar was a good reliable truck,this new truck is the same platform as the paystar.it's the same Mack truck.mack has had the same look now for going on 30 years,but it works.yah,Mack has made the cab 4 inches deeper for comfort and it works.and mack definitely has the best interior of any truck,period .this new international's cab isn't anything new.I do like the air cleaners,and use of chrome.

The HX is designed to replace the paystar series. I would recommend if your driving by a dealership or mine here in Valdosta to stop in and look at one. They share similarities with the cat truck but there has been several design changes to make a more efficient truck. An example of that is the cab suspension. It is a design unto itself isolating the cab from road noise and vibration while offering a large opening for a REPTO shaft which is a big deal for the concrete industry as an example. I have driven this truck a lot and I can tell you it drives like no other truck I have been in. The truck in the video has 3.55 rears which allows it to run 65 mph at 1480RPM which is a big advantage in regards to fuel. Thank you for sharing your opinion on the truck!
