Italian people: Italian language is not confusing
The Italian language:
For me, as a spanish speaker learning italian, is not that confusing
It sounds like spanish
@@Jay-uu5lu italian and spanish are both romance languages, so it's predictable that they will be similar; particularly, in this case, the languages have about the 82% of the vocabulary shared (and it seems amplified in countries with high Italian ethnicity people percentage, like Argentina with about 70%, where it's common to use Italian expressions while the people speaks Spanish), also the pronunciation and alphabet of both languages is very similar.
If you want to check another particular case, you should compare Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, they are even more similar

It's actually pretty simple, we just pronounce numbers by rounded units. In the case of 8888:
8000 = Ottomila
800 = Ottocento
80 = Ottanta
8 = Otto
Merged, Ottomilaottocentoottantotto (The a between 80 and 8 disappears for pronunciantion convenience in this specific case)

And your reaction it's the exact way i have reacted when i first hear the english pronounce, if you din't know also in Italy you are forced to learn the english language, and now i know how to speak and write in english decently😄
