Joe Canning doesn't make this list because 1. He's too skilful and 2. He's an out and out forward but believe me to still be playing after the abuse he has taken he is definitely one of the strongest of last 20 years. All time list; Keady, Finnerty and Lynskey.
Colm Spollen He was leaner when he started. I think he was more prone to mistakes in later years when he bulked up. Lost a bit of mobility, still he’ll go down as one of the greats. That point against Limerick was the best ever. Shame Cork lost it
I could listen to Tommy talk about hurling all day.
Best hurler ever. Laoch
15 hard men who were unbelievable hurlers...Tommy's being modest there's only 1 team that comes to mind there.
'He only got it kinda in the leg' .... brilliant!
I love that Tommy knows so much about hurling history. He's a student of the Game .
Brian Lohan #1
100 percent,seanie McMahon too.
Brian Begley hopped the rock off an upright and made a pebble of him. He was always nervous around Begley. Everyone has their match.

O’Sullivan was more like a rugby player. A beast
He was Ruairi but he was also a serious hurler and some times that gets lost as he was so physical that shoulder against Limerick was unreal

Ken McGrath was hard as nails.
Maher would be 18 stone after the Christmas and 15 for the championship. Only wanted a fair game the Thomases biys were teasing him
Brian Corcoran..name has to b on the edge of that.list...and no mention of John Power
Tommy was the hardest man ever
Pat O'Neill killkenny surely should be on the list .
Some tough man from Loughrea hittin slaps with the hurley. Nack
Yeah like. I don't see how that kind of blackguardism gets him on this list.
Never forget when Joe canning bodied the rock on his senior debut and roasted him
Tommy was up there not many could handle Him.
The rock o Sullivan. Self explanatory.
Tony Doran incredible master at full forward
Georoid McInerney put paudie Maher on His backside 2 years ago if I u remember ryt!
Joe Canning's debut season, Galway played Cork and Canning was the better man over the Rock that day.
TJ M cork won though
I saw the rock playing u21 v clare in Ennis. Alan Markham bullied him and put him on his arse a couple of times. Markham wasnt a big man but was tough
