Absolutely love the screen and the fact that is offset from the body of the case. Gives it some character. Light bar I initially wasn’t sold on, but I decided to just order two colored bezels so I can match my light bar to my case frame. I wish QK would’ve just let us pick bezel/light bar color separately tho.
What kills it for me is they didnt give me a textless badge option when it has previously been available in older models. It just looks so tacky with the text exacerbated by the fact that everything else on the front of the board is a simple clean design.
Only problem i have with this aesthetic-wise is the frame design of the screen. Could at least give us a blank or qwertykeys subtle branded frame because i find the start/meow/retro a bit tacky.
I loved that u gave us multiple configs and soundtests with commentary right out of the gate, refreshing and fast to give us what we need quickly. I have a lot of 65's, but may have to cop with how well this board is reviewing
The hobby is moving towards OLED screens as the norm. I wouldn't be too surprised in the future if someone made a cyberboard type board but with an OLED screen all the way across. I know there is an 80% board that already has a 3.5" OLED Screen.

Hopefully the Neo series allows QK to stay out of the race to the bottom as it were, and create more out there / innovative mid range ish boards!
Fantastic video! New to the mechanical keyboard hobby. Looking to pick this board up, aiming for a more muted creamy/thocky build. Heard that a PC plate would be better for this compared to a POM plate. Looking at gateron ink black v2 switches as well. Thoughts?
There’s a pcb with iso compatibility! And gasket mount these days is a loose term- but typically it refers to a mounting style isolating the PCB from the case assembly preventing direct contact, typically utilizing foam or rubber!

Exactly!! This is the board’s biggest flaw. It’s so close to being an instant classic!
Sadly it’s the only reason I’m not buying it. Not everyone wants their keyboard to be “cute”

For the assembly process for the cycle7, surprisingly the neo80 has done a similar latch system

Thank you! While I have no experience with the pc plate, I’d recommend using some foams and the pom or fr4 plate!!
As for the switch just look for something nylon!!
