G.I.JOE Storm Shadow 3D printed and acrylic painted STATUE

I 3D printed and painted a Storm Shadow resin statue from G.I. Joe to go along with Snake Eyes that I did in an earlier video. This is a brief video on the process.

Only problem: Storm Shadow has dark brown eyes. :) He's Japanese-American.

any guidance on the bed orientation for the blades? They look crisp in the videos and I have not gotten that type of result on other sword prints. Thank you

I print mine standing straight up. That way I get no print lines or warpage.

do you always do skin tones first? If so, is there a sequence I should be thinking about going into painting figures?

It really depends on the model. I spend a little time evaluating each model before jumping in. I gotta have a plan before painting. I like to do skin tones first most of the time because of the lighter color of paint. I definitely don't want to paint skin over darker colors.

Storm shadow is all white no grey tones. The grey tones belong to firefly both had similar designs.😊

@@TheCreativeCollector then it must be from latter sources the storm shadow i knew from the 80’s figure, comic and the sunbow marvel productions show he was always white. Must be some of IDW redoing

Everything doesn't have to be comic accurate. That's the great thing about this hobby. Every designer is different. Can you imagine how boring it would be to see every Storm Shadow out there to be solid white?
