Haney is from usa, he is under Mayweather promotion in Vegas, fighting Lomachenko at MGM in Las Vegas where power politics will give the decision Win to Haney for anything short of a KO/tko victory for Loma or dominating knockdown performance for Loma over Haney.
It is being scripted behind closed doors and set up that way so far, so we’ll see.. Its all about money, and asset value protection, (of Haney’s record, marketability, and revenue making for his handlers, promoters, casinos, city/state/country, gamblers/investers, bankers etc), at the end of the day.
Loma is gonna need a very convincing performance to even have a chance of winning. A KO win for Loma or multiple knockdowns of Haney may be the only way to a possible win for Loma.
Haney is very young while Loma is relatively old at 35, and Devin has a DECADE of big money fights, of huge money making potential left for his investers who will demand to make huge $$$$ on their investments. Judges, Refs, top trainers, USADA, politics, promoters, elites will be giving as many extra edges or unethical/ethical advantages for this fight to Devin Haney as are non-criminally possible.

Loma is the best boxer I have ever seen live when he is at his actual weight class .. but he is way tooo small for LW - Haney’s reach and height is exactly what has been his kryptonite since moving to LW - If haney cuts off the ring and does not let Loma to get his feet work going, it is over - BUT if Loma gets that speed and foot work going (as he always starts off slow) then its a wrap - when Loma is on, he is the best in the world

If Loma has another opponent hurt he needs to avoid asking the ref or the opponent's corner to stop the fight, and finish his opponent. That's the nature of pro boxing. He needs to have the killer instinct vs Haney.

I think the comment that Ortiz exposed Loma's physical decline is being greatly exaggerated. The odds are shrinking. When betting odds opened, Loma was a +240 and even a +270 in some places. He's now a +200. I think Loma is going to send shock waves through the boxing world this May.

I hope so, I'm a big Loma fan. Haney looks so sharp rn, his jab is going to be a real issue for Loma. He really can't afford to start slow as Haney is going to win rounds with an active jab as Loma downloads. I think Loma has to go to the body early to slow Haney down and open up Haney's guard. Loma needs a knockout or at least a knockdown to win on points. It has to be a vintage performance and then some for Loma to win.
@@jacoby310 I’m going to make a video about this. There are things with the Lopez fight that doesn’t exist for Haney. First, Loma was coming off a 14 month layoff due to Covid. Second, he re-injured his shoulder (which had never quite healed since Linares) before the Lopez fight. Third, Lopez has one-punch KO power; Haney does not. All of these things affected his performance in the beginning of that fight and made him hesitant and cautious. None of these thing will be present for Haney. He will start off fast. I have no doubt. The only thing I worry about for Loma is whether he can shut off the noise (everything going on in the Ukraine) and go into the ring with the right state of mind as well as maintain his super high fitness level despite being 35 now. If he can do the last two, I have no doubt he’ll win.

Pacquiao retired at 43, Foreman at 48. Compared to them, Loma is still young
Pacquiao was a unique case, and yet even in his twilight years he received some rough matches that he managed to win because he was just...still that good? But by that point his days as a world champ were finally put to rest.
At lower weight classes, speed and agility are pretty much necessities for a boxer, unlike in HW where a fighter possessing those things could very well become a prospect, if not a champ in a short period of time (Fury, Usyk).
Unlike Devin Haney, I'd argue that Lomachenko isn't that much of a natural genius, but more of a fighter who had built his foundation via tremendous amounts of hard work, intelligent work, and the secretive methods that even other competitors aren't even aware of if they even exist or not.
Devin Haney though, could very well be the closest thing to Mayweather with his philly shell defensive techniques and a precise understanding of timing and distance management, allowing Haney to land blows at the most opportune moment during fights.
But Pac isn't Loma, Loma ain't Foreman, Foreman aint Pac
