Yup! Little Plate is fantastic as well. They sound a tiny bit different to me (maybe they modeled a different EMT 140? I don't know 🤷♂️). The new one in SuperPlate just reminds me a little bit more of the particular plate I used to work with, but before buying this, I used Little Plate all the time!
So the auto-decay is basically a ducker? ST do things well, it's a shame they don't release new stuff regularly. There are so many FX options out there now, that I think they dropped the ball by not keeping up and lost a lot of potential customers in recent years.
Kinda! But instead of ducking volume, it ducks the length of the reverb. So kinda similar effect, but also distinctly different and useful in its own way. And I totally agree. It is a bummer that they went so long without any releases.
They haven't needed too. Have you sat in any modern mixing session in the last 5 years? Soundtoys is on everything...all the time. I have at least 4 different Soundtoys plugins in every single one of my mixes.
