As soon as Dear Diary starts it smacks you straight to your face and the whole release is just superb. This has got to be the EP of the year for me. I’ve been a long time fan since Suicide Season. The releases after Sempiternal we’re not my cup of tea, but I have always respected BMTHs approach to experiment and widen their musical repertoire. Honestly the new BMTH, which audaciously combines new soundscapes to the old heaviness is just fantastic.
YES so much this, they kind of lost me when sempiternal came out, it just wasn't my thing anymore. There is a hell was a life changer album, it was the first time i saw them live back then, but after that i just stopped listening to them. TTS and AMO were pretty much under the radar for me, they were ok, unique in a way, but this EP oh boi, Ludens specially got my attention back. I'm once again a fan of this band and i love the new sound, it's refreshing and unique to their own style.
Excactly, tbh I love Sempiternal. But I love the older stuff more. I think its good for every band to kinda change in a good way. I still think that if BMTH would keep it that heavy as they used to do I dont think they would be this successful as they are now.(even tho they where very successful) but its just the way it goes with Music unfortunately....
