I loveee yoonji and I wanted her to win so she can have a rematch with tutat but i can see why the judges might've preferred hoan in this match. In my opinion they were both on the same level but I kinda wish other yoonji fans didn't accuse the judges of being unfair and make all sorts of assumptions like they know any of the judges personally.

OMG FRIENDS!!! Why are you just fighting? Of course, opinions may differ greatly. Because It's a dance battle, and also a open style. But I'm just sad that you guys didn't trust them. I mean, the judges and fans. I'm also a dancer, and It mean I see many battle too. Even directly participating in the battle! There are reality, angle, Atmosphere felt in action, and intent!! In this video, we can't know who is better and worse. I want Before the fighting, we need to think about streetdance is the culture for the populace and there is a manner to each people. Please
The one thing that I found it funny in the comment section is that none of the dancers called out the judges for a 1v1 battle. If there's a question in judging, then this will be the solution. Ultimately, looks like the judges and contestants agreed on the judging system.

배틀살인마와 배틀신의 만남이라니...으아아아악!!!!
These are two dancers I admire and look up to a lot. When I saw Hoan's round, I thought to myself that it was not his best. It was a beatable round, especially by someone like Yoonji. However, Yoonji didn't impress me either.
In the end Hoan still had better textures, level changes, and played with the layers of the music more (I have to say his level of musicality and mastery of songs is way above even the likes of 5000, seriously go watch more of his battles--he hits EVERYTHING). I get Hozin, but you can't say Babysleek, Mario, and Locker Hwa are biased against Yoonji. It could've been closer to 50/50, but each judge votes their own.

2002년에 브레이킹으로 입문해서 당시 고릴라크루 밑에서 브레이킹과 힙합의 기본기를 배우며 유명하지 않지만 활동까지하고 현재는 작은 스튜디오에서 강사로 근무하고 장르의 구분없이 스트릿의 문화를 사랑하는 한사람입니다.
라인업외에도 플로우메이커와 댄서스나잇의 주최영상에서 대중분들에게 인지도가 낮거나
댓글조차없는곳이라도 댄싱이 있는곳은 어디든 찾아가서 다양한 댄서분들을 응원하고
칭찬하는글만 전부입니다.
댄싱9이후 대부분의 배틀영상 코멘트를 적었고 스우파 라인업공개전부터 꼭 나와야한다고 채널 커뮤니티에 언급도하며
선공개당시 무례하다고 이슈되었을때
인스타와 유툽에도 실제로는 행사끝나고 인사해주고 잘받아준다고 적기까지했구요
그리고 넘사벽이란 표현을 사용한 이유는
"신의 경지이다"라는 의미였을뿐입니다.
한 인물을 두고 실력논쟁이나 분쟁을 일으키는 행위들은 사라져야하며
영상을 보시는 모든분들이 댄싱을 즐기고

This is openstyle. In the name of variety, Yoonji won. Their musicality is at par with each other as they're both experienced in battles.

- both are not just relying to the base with their smart choices of the instrument.
Style: cannot be compared
- both are doing their own style and if they are judged based on the criteria of their style, both can do 100 tbh. Hoan did an excellent old school popping, while Yoonji waack excellently to the music WITH the drama of waacking as she was navigating the round.
Song vibe (personal): Afro fusion
- YOONJI gave me THAT vibe of the song. They were both hitting the musicality, but it's the VIBE that you get when you watch a dancer. Yoonji was BOUNCING to give a tasteful flavour of THIS music. Actually an afro dancer would take this song all the way, but I'm glad Yoonji gave me that feeling with her bounce like that quick "gwara gwara" variation at 2:38

I love how you included the vibe 'cause this should honestly be present in an ALL-STYLE battle like this. Judging based on style can create a bias because if the judge only does popping for example, there is no way they can judge a waacking performance by its criteria. Remember, a "showmanship" aka drama aka punking is a HUGE factor in waacking, and other style dancers may not see it. So I agree a certain vibe in the performance of an openstyle battle should be talked about too.

@@alinab9942 The number of styles you know doesn't matter beyond how well you use them to dance. If you know 12 styles kinda and you go up against someone who knows 1 style really well, there's a good chance they'll win. As someone who loves Yoon Ji, Hoan just did a better job with the music.

It's a preference for sure 'cause both expressed the music in their own style but I understand why the judges have unanimous votes 'cause they have more similar style to Hoan and he's a senior too. Should've been at least a tie or something.

라인업 본선 진출하시는 댄서분들이면 이미 월드클래스라 대중적이고 터지는 음악을 주면 너나할것없이 미친 무브를 보여주기때문에 아무래도 루핑되고 반복적인 배틀음악이 나올 수 있습니다. 그런음악에서 댄서들의 퀄리티나 음악에대한 리듬메이킹이나 필링체인지가 더 잘보이거든요. 심사보는분들도 고역이에요ㅋㅋㅋ 다들 너무잘해서

am i the only one who thinks hoan's performance here wasn't exactly all that? if anything it was very subpar as compared to what he's usually able to do. he stuck to a lot of basic movements unlike yoonji who gave a clean yet complex sequence of moves. feel like hoan was carried by his legacy and image and the fact he's a senior in the dance battle field. but whatever
Hoan was carried by his musicality. Yoonji is great, but when you have two dancers who excel in technique and creativity going against each other, you can only turn to musicality to see who did better, and Hoan's musicality in this particular battle was better (which doesn't mean Yoonji's wasn't good, it just wasn't as good as Hoan's in this battle). Of course, you can personally prefer Yoonji's performance, but I wanted to shed some light on what led to the judges decision. Also, remember that when judging a battle you're not comparing the dancers performances to their previous performances on different battles. Both Hoan and Yoonji can do better than they did in this particular battle, but that also depends on the music.
@@takenothingforgranted.3180 both of their musicality are there, that's what gave their performances their own uniqueness. and hence why i think the win should've gone to yoonji given how her performance showed not just musicality but also complexity in terms of how she decided on her moves and the sequence that made up the entire performance. you can't take that away from her. as for hoan yeah sure he expressed the music in ways better suited to his dance style as well but to me it was lackluster, and also the basic or standard moves he opted for really didn't showcase much of his said musicality given how the choices and sequence he did could be done by anyone other than him and they'd get a chop. also adding the fact that the judges have an obvious gravitation towards hoan's dance style and he's a senior in the industry. but that's my opinion
@@linodior2649 Again, I'm not saying Yoonji didn't show musicality, it's just that Hoan showed some more of it. That's all. You can watch the battle again to see what I'm talking about. If you don't see it, it's not the judges fault. You may want to consider that you are not as qualified as the judges to make a call. I don't know who has an "obvious gravitation towards hoan's dance style" other than Hozin, who is also a popper. Babysleek is a waacker too and she voted for Hoan. You're here doubting the judges qualifications and (indirectly) the people who organized the event and chose them as judges as if you knew better. Yoonji herself gladly accepted their decision and went on to show her respect to Hoan. There are many people who have been taking Popping lessons for at least a year and would love to dance as Hoan did here, since you say anyone could do it I guess I'll tell them they can just go ahead and do it since it is that simple :) You don't need super impressive moves to show musicality. Hoan masters Popping foundations and he did a great use of them in this battle. It honestly sounds like you're rather new to the freestyle dance scene, no offense.
@@takenothingforgranted.3180 i am free to voice out my opinion based on what i observed, hence why i said "that's just me". and i'm free to critique the judges' choice given how said musicality you're trying to justify is centered towards basic movements and weren't all that impressive, TO ME. again this is MY OBSERVATION. and with regards to what i said about them not picking anyone who does what hoan did, well as a matter of fact they already did that by choosing waackxxxy over yunjin during the other open style battle since the former was quite basic on her sequence as well despite her musicality. but then again my other opinion about the judges, in this case hozin, being biased is also validated during that battle because he still chose yunjin aka his girlfriend over waackxxxy despite waackxxxy being the obvious winner. so everything i said obviously has merit, and you putting them to such a high pedestal where you think they can't be questioned is rather unproductive given as how none of them have perfect judgement to begin with. also i have quite the exposure towards freestyle battle hence why i can make an opinion such as the one i had so there's that
@@linodior2649 Of course you're free to voice out your opinion, just like everyone here is free to answer to your implications that the judges were unfair and to you belittling Hoan's performance. You can doubt Hozin's judging in Yujin vs. Waackxxxy because of the nature of his relationship with Yujin all you want, but you really have no way of justifying your implication in the comments here that the judges made the wrong decision in giving Hoan the victory because of personal biases or absurd biases regarding seniority. Hoan did better than Yujin so I don't know why you're comparing the two different battles. Waackxxxy had better musicality in her round against Yujin than Yoonji here and was also more dynamic. I love Yoonji, but she can do better than she did with this music. I don't think that judges can't be questioned, I just think you have no good reason to justify your claims against their decision (the whole panel with dancers specialized in different styles voted for Hoan and your seniority argument has no weight because many times judges in South Korea have voted for younger dancers against seniors, it just shows you're prejudiced against korean judges) and it's crystal clear that you're the one putting Yoonji or perhaps Waacking in general on a pedestal which is not letting you see why Hoan won fair and square. I don't want to change your opinion, you can prefer Yoonji's performance, but you shouldn't let your personal preferences lead you to belittle another dancer's performance like you did here and imply that the judges you don't agree with are corrupted somehow because that's just disrespectful. Hoan can do better, but he did well and a bit better than Yoonji, who also showed a good performance. What Hoan did is not something that anyone can do and is also not very subpar to what he's able to do. He was dynamic, with perfectly clean technique and great musicality. Have a nice day.

"just doing move". When you move to the music, that's dancing. Just because the dancer you prefer didn't win a battle, you don't need to put the other dancer down. Both Hoan and Yoonji are famous in South Korea. Hoan won because he had better musicality overall. Yoonji's performance was also good. Both of them are great dancers.

Korea dance comunity too focus about detail then forget about groove and flow , the winner of battle is the one fit more with that song , not the one who kill beat , make audition cheering or do some crazy stuff look so nice.
Spider (FR) at Lineup 9 is example for groove and flow , he have no powermove , trick but still gap the rest 1 level
