I was in high school, when this came out. Jazz became a pivotal part of my life in 1982... Because of jazz, my life has changed 180 degrees... Played many venues... Visited beautiful places beyond my wildest dreams... George's music has inspired me to become a better musician.
You talk about a beautiful piece of music!!! Takes me back to the late 80s as a young Sailor in Charleston S.C. newly introduced to JAZZ. CLASSIC. This brother and Kenny G were my favorites.
Strange as it may seem, I can see Michael floating and dancing on air to this sweet jam, while George plays it soft and mellow. Heaven has so many great musicians in attendance. How wonderful it must sound. Play on, sing on, gentle souls.
The saxophone is said to be instrument that most closely resembles a human voice , each with its own unique sound. George Howard’s sound is so distinct it can be immediately distinguished after just a few notes. He is my favorite sax man of all time. After seeing him in concert multiple times he was the most outstanding sax musician of our time and not really widely known. It’s been about a quarter century since his passing and every song still resonates like it has for 40 years. A true legend.
Back when this was released I was in Wash D. C. and this album was played on WHUR-FM and CD101 FM. I moved a yr later and lost a whole lot of albums along w/this one. Several years later I re-connected w/ a friend was offered almost 25 old mix tapes I made and copied them. This was on one of them and it brought back so many great memories of my time back them R.I.P. Mr Howard.

One of the Best Albums! I miss George. It's funny back then I could tell the Sax player by hearing them! They had their own style of playing.

Something about the tone of his sax. Soft and lowkey
Crowning Achievement
Doorudoodoodooru
Sexily and romantically melodic!
It's a nice remake of Michael Jackson's song.
