Solid advices. The first thing that I've figured out was that UA-cam rewards consistency. But what's more important, by being consistent in whatever you're doing, like it or not - you'll improve.
About the covers... I know that people are getting copyright strikes / claims for making covers, but it wasn't always like that (I think). It's kinda weird. There are some pretty dumb restrictions, for example - you can't make changes to the lyrics (too much). These are also some issues when it comes to the video of your cover song and more stuff, but I don't wanna make this comment an essay.

Unfortunately, no man. UA-cam is its own entity and runs differently, even through its payment system in views. You can claim your UA-cam music account though. As far as vevo, you can’t connect it through your UA-cam but you can distribute onto vevo.

You would have to email 📧 DistroKid’s support then and tell them that you didn’t authorize your music to be uploaded on there. Here’s the support email: support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
