This is dope! Shuffling is my favorite way to get some cardio in. :)
I think an important point to make is that the half count from your running man (the perch position, where one of your legs is up in the air) technically is the universal transition point in shuffling. You'll notice that from your RM, your rock, your t-step and a majority of other moves, this is the position you'll be in, in order to easiest transition into literally anything else. Hope that makes sense, and I think that's what you were trying to say when you were talking about being able to do anything from your running man. Love the variety in other transitions that you provide!

4:20 thank you for explaining that !!! i've been stuck on always dividing moves strictly into 4-counts but this helps alot. (Like I'd only do running man for 4, then T-step for 4 etc)
Same with 3:20 where you do rm-rm-back step-rm !

Note for those who try to just kick straight upward -- In karate they say: Lift your knee above your target. And then a front-kick is kind of like a stomp.

heyy can you do a video about how to stretch properly or warm up before shuffling because when I first started shuffling I would never stretch and my ankle muscles and calves were constantly so sore

What I recommend you to do is to first practice on songs wuth slow beats per minute to get the move down then get faster and faster

Note: what you're calling the Charleston is what I call the 1920s Charleston. The 1930s Charleston is quite different (rock-step kick step forward-kick perch backward-kick step)

Hi! No dance background here.. when you break moves down by count are you still counting in your head even when at a faster speed and to music or does it then become muscle memory? Like, is the 8 count just to learn the moves?

You skip from foot to foot, like kinda front toe to back heal as well kind of thing. You can watch a guy does it amazing on the song "2 unlimited" blue da ba dee ( at 3:20) he has a great sweat shirt, knee cut jeans, red hat, blue shoes. And on a dock/pier or what ever.
Ih like zigzag skips from foot to foot and I have wanted to learn it for a long time but don't know the name of it.
