Nice speaking voice, easy on the ear😊 Have you made any Dutch friends..I live in England and have a few English acquaintances but they are not easy to befriend. Find them inconsistent.
Hi Neo. I have few questions for my daughter. 1. What agency did you use? 2. Was a driver's license one of the requirements for your service? That will be it for now. We appreciate your vlogs
Hi Zandile Masinga😃, well first of all 😅 coming here is pretty affordable hey. But I fell in love with the fact that its a healthy and happy country😊. The whole cycling lifestyle is crazy but amazing. I had the USA fever back in 2016 but over the years I got attracted to Europe’s chill vibe.
@@neompetemarufu Thank you for responding 🤗 and how are you dealing with the language barrier? Arg I cannot wait to see you grow, continue sharing your experience and valuable info.. Xoxo
@@zandilemasinga9376 Knowing Afrikaans really helped me because I’ve been here a little over three months and already understand and try to make full sentences on my own. It’s challenging yes, especially when the kids only speak Dutch. But the kids books and cartoons helped me learn quickly.
Hey love, You only need baby sitting experience. If you’ve done tutoring, helping kids with homework, looking after relatives or siblings etc. it all counts as babysitting experience.
@@neompetemarufu thank you for replying love. Well I’ve been taking care of my niece and nephew since I was a teenager, I’m 21 now and I’ve also been taking care of my 3 years old nephew for the past 4 months but only on weekends. I think adding a little bit of experience with non-relatives would be great.
@@gracious746 Yes, the hours on such experience may be enough but I think, like you said, adding experience that’s not from relatives will be to your advantage. All the best hey🤗.
Hi there, I was in NL for 6 months, I’ve never felt like I wasted my time. I enjoyed every minute of it, though there were weird🥴 moments I still feel I grew and gained so much knowledge from my stay there.
Hey there, thank you for this video. love your content. I would like to know which agency did you use and how long was the process in matching with your host family
Hi Uyazidube97 Dube, thank you☺️. I used OVC partnering with HBN in the Netherlands. If you’d like to know more about the au pair process check out my Instagram page. I did a series on au pairing: questionanswer_ask The matching process took two/three months.
hey girl, is there another way I could reach out to you? I just got back from AuPairing in the US and i'm interested in the Netherlands but I'd like to ask you some questions :)
Hi Babs😃, you don’t need to know Dutch to au pair in the Netherlands. You can take a language course during your au pair program (costs are covered by your hosts). 😊

Hello Neo. I am also an african studying in the netherlands. Welcome to this side of youtube
Hi Harpy Jessy😃, thank you❤️.

Hi Mathipa Chepape,
I used OVC and no, a driver’s license was not a necessity because most au pairs use bicycles here.
