JJ- he looks down sorrowfully and realizes the grieving you’ve been through “You’re not cursed y/n, and you won’t lose any of us. But I guess it is hard to celebrate the day your father died, even though he tried to kill you an everything. You still love him”
JJ begins to cry and tries to hold it in but he can’t. You wrap your arms around each other and squeeze real tight, both crying and sharing a moment together. He begins to stroke his hand through your hair and you dig your head into his shoulder. You begin to realize how much pain he was in having an abusive father.
*ALSO LATER THAT DAY*
You and JJ both walk into the room with your eyes all puffy. John B walks up to you and squeezes JJ and y/n really tight, the slowly walks backwards looking into your eyes. Sarah begins to reveal a lantern behind her back and hands it to you.
S-I know you don’t like celebrating your birthday, and we all realized why. That’s why instead we are going to have a memorial for your father instead, to help you with your grieving. Kiara pulls out a cake behind her back and Pope with some refreshments.
Kie- Maybe we can do that while enjoying these as well. You all join together with a hug and celebrate the rest of the day

I have a story about this it was my birthday and my friends were all talking and not one mentioned my birthday and they asked me something and I asked them if they knew what today was and they all looked at me confused and asked what day it was and I said my birthday and then they were all like “ omg happy birthday we are so sorry we forgot to mark it on our calendar” and I know that none of them have calendars I felt like sh!t that day
