New to your channel. You’re doing the right thing by purging your collection. Sorry but I always thought RD was a bit much with words on so many different pieces. I have one piece that I found at Goodwill, a little vase that says “flower “ and a single daisy and a candle that says “hello spring” that I got on clearance at T.J.Maxx. It’s WAY overpriced ceramic ware and there’s a ton of it. Love the chicken wire box from Hobby Lobby. Looks good gray. I’ve always wanted that piece but was out of my price range and out of stock 😳
I sold off most of my rae dunn earlier this year. Felt sooo freeing! You won’t regret it! I think I own maybe 20 mugs and one small display worth now. Makes my home feel so much more simple. ...and I also have a Pomeranian that destroys my couch as soon as I finish putting it all together haha! So crazy how they’re all so similar!
Yes I definitely agree with you. I remember when I had even more than I have now and I can’t believe I could handle it 🤣 And how funny, I love poms so much ❤️🐶

Looks good! I agree Rae Dunn decor can be busy looking if u have too much. I’ve tried to be really picky and not go too overboard w my collection. I also have a shelf on my kitchen countertop where I have my display and then put other pieces really sparingly in other rooms so we don’t have words all over the place lol.
I discovered RD back in December. I only purchase seasonal items, and get what I really like. I'm not into the other home decor stuff, although I find it all so nice and good quality.

Makes you really love each item ♡ I'm new to collecting but trying to be very particular in what I purchase to only get the items I really love. And it's really hard to find anything in Canada lol The Syrup is my number one ISO but people want $100 for them here 🤯 Really starting to understand why people say there's a dark side to it. Maybe you could do some of your Rae Dunn purge for your monthly give aways? Love your videos and seeing what new decor you come up with ❤
Your plates are nice and cute and I love the oink sign. Pineapple sage sounds amazing and probably would smell so good. Those oval plates are so cute. I love those balls of twine. I think the lemons with the lambs eye looks so cute.
I like the idea of mixing the Rae Dunn with non Rae Dunn items. That's what I do. Yes it can become overwhelming! I want to sell a lot of Bullseye Playground items too. TFS!

@@mollynicolehome yeah I've been trying to be very selective of what I buy from each collection if any. My stores dont get a lot so that helps sometimes. Lol. If you end of selling your bee happy mug I'd be interested. Its the only thing I've wanted from that line.

I got rid of pretty much everything besides my all time fav pieces + Basics canisters, some mugs. And i kept some baking pans that i use and are put away in the cabinet. But im so not into the whole display of everything anymore. I have two floating shelves that i mixed my pieces with non rae dunn & Then my mug rack. I feel like it is just enough for me.
I too got so sick of RD, I got rid of some and the once I did keep I just turned it around so I don’t have to look at the writing but still use them and mix in other decor, it looks so much better

I love the decorating that you have done . I only have RD that l use in my kitchen... except for my birdhouse collection. I gave away two slant roof BHs to friends that liked them and are not into RD. I have one more BH that l am giving to someone and then l’m done. I would like a blue one, for my deck, they had one on the website a lot but not anymore. I like a collection of RD displayed in a cabinet that some people show in their pictures , but l like just a few things displayed in my kitchen. Sometimes, less is more . 🍋
I’m struggling right now with the same issue of slimming down my collection....what pieces do I get rid of, and which ones do I keep? I do still love Rae Dunn but honestly, it has taken over my entire house and it’s stressing me out. I need to sit and really think about what I absolutely love, and everything that lands in the “just ok” pile has to go.
It is very hard.....😐 I’ve been down sizing for the last few months and it takes time. The more time that passes by the easier things are to get rid of!

It looks GREAT! I know what you mean about being ready to let go of a lot of the Rae Dunn items that your not in love with. However, I started collecting last July so I guess I’m still kinda a newbie compared to most. I still like & want to collect the BHs, particularly the older ones like the script, woodgrain, plaid etc. I actually just purchased a few on Mercari which I never thought I would but it’s the only way to get the older ones. I got the feather, script chirp, bloom, Mother’s Day blue floral & am waiting for the plaid to come down in price which it has been but not low enough for me. Some days I want less sitting around & other days I love looking at it. Your right. The struggle IS real! Hey, what brand paint & color did you use to paint your gray distressed shelf? I love it & want to use it to do a small accent table. Always enjoy your videos! Your puppies are adorbs BTW! 😍

Hello! I noticed how you “pulled” the chicken wire shelf out instead of it being dropped down, I just received mine by FedEx and 4 screws for the drop down drawer are out and just laying inside and I can’t figure out how to add the screws back because of the way the screws go in, did you receive yours like that too?

I sold my white ones. But I still have a few others that I may add into my decor sometime 😊 I eventually want to get a rectangular tiered tray for my kitchen island.

I totally agree! I’ve purged a lot of my Rae Dunn. I have only kept the the things I love and or use. Too much of it was giving me anxiety.
