Is it possible to add a programmable line key or multi-purpose key to connect the phone to an analog trunk on an FXO port? I don’t mean using a dial pattern.
Great Video. I am able to get everything working but, I have a small problem. So I have 4 lines as follows 9x. 2x. 3x. 4x. When person 1 dials 9 and the trunk is busy with a call, Person 2 dials 9 they get a busy message. Is there a way to do round robin with outgoing call routes? My old PBX would find an available line out. Thank you for any help.
So, my fire house has 2 incoming lines. Line 2 is a fail over for line 1. if line one is busy the call forwards to line 2. how to I configure the system to allow us to pick the outside line we would like to use with the line keys?
Great video series so far.... following along while I do my own small office setup. I am curious though as to what would be the patter for international calls? there are some countries with even 11 digit phone numbers
I need your help, I am using UCM6204 where around 40 GXP1625 Analog phones connected but when someone call us, we can't see their Calling numbers, Caller ID check box enabled, I have tried all 12 Caller ID schemes which are available on UCM6204 but no one showing the caller Numbers, some of them showing Undetected0000 and some showing PRIVATE calls even after rebooted the UCM. Need your proper guidance on this matter. please make a video on it. Thanks
hi WIllie, i know this is a pretty old video.. so hope i get some help. i want to be able to forward all incoming trunk calls to an external number after normal office hours and on weekends. how do i go about doing that.
Hi Willie, Greetings !! , Well first tiime we configured UCM 6302a along with two analog trunk , but here extension wise total 7 extension created and working fine , but if we want to dial to any external local no its not working , may be i made a mistake with outbound pattern or is there any other method for fxo line , we are in oman and here we have 7 digit local number if we are dialing to any mobile or landline we have to press 9 and then seven digit , correct me if iam wrong
How can we choose particular trunk for particular extension? For example when I dail from extension 1001, the trunk used to be first copper trunk and when I dail from extension 1002 the trunk is second copper trunk. How can I setup this?
Hi Willie, I have set up all the trunks but I am not receiving calls on the extension set. (100). From the reception Phone, I cannot also make an outgoing call through the outbound trunks set.
I need your demonstration on Grandstream UCM Trunks - Routes - Call Patterns. Currently I know how to add a landline or mobile phone in grandstream. Two concerns: 1. Can we use a landline or mobile phone in another location and then benefit from the resources of the IPBX. If so, how can we do it. 2. How to configure incoming and outgoing calls when we have several telecom operators. Thank you
I have 2 outbound numbers, but whenever you dial an outbound number with an extension to go through the 2nd number it doesn't but rather go through the 1st number
Not too sure what could be wrong but my inbound route is not working even though I followed your procedure thoroughly. My outbound route is working fine though.
I know this is an older video but maybe someone can help... I set up a copper trunk, (everything default) copper lines are from a charter spectrum MTA, every now and then the ucm6202 will cause the MTA to "hang up" as in no inbound calls at all, if I try to call out it will not work but after the attemp to call out I can make and receive calls again... this don't always happen..... not sure whats going on. Edit: it only happens when an incoming call hangs up on the IVR.
So here's my question. Im Replacing an extremely old WINphone Analog system and they claim that they have 6 lines all POTS, and 1 line is the main one. if 6 people cll in at the same time off the main line these calls are somehow transfered to one of the other phone numbers in their block and calls keep coming in with no busy signal on the main number. is this possible in the UCM?
Hi thank you for the tutorial. Mostly in our country Ph the normal landline number is 7 digits then mostly common used trunk access code for pabx dial 9,meaning my pattern would be 9XXXXXXX the I strip 1 digit.?
Willie, thanks for this video. This was the hardest part of freepbx setup for me. Never could get it where Twilio was happy. Anyway, we have a few NEC door stations that are analog and simply take the phone off hook when the button is pressed. Assuming you’re going to show us FXS ports next, How can I plug them into the FXS ports and program the UCM to dial an extension (or ring group, or whatever) when the port is off hook? Need to setup a temporary fix until the 3705’s are in stock.
Thanks for the reply. UA-cam did not notify me of it, I just came back here to rewatch the video and saw you reply. Can you please point me to some documentation about this?
Thx I'd like please to show how : To specify a Thrunk to a specific extension Exemple: "thrunk2" the only extention can make call from it is "EXTENTION-BOSS"
Willie, great video. Looking to set up a Grandstream PBX for my local office. If I want to strictly use our SIP provider...I don't need to worry about anything but VoIP routes correct? We don't make a ton of calls so cost won't be an issue. I don't want to use any analog lines at all. Thanks!!!!!
Thanks a lot for you great job. I have three analog lines and I need the caller to choose one of them before entering the destination number to open a specific analog line and call the destination number. what should I do?
Thank you Willie, great videos !! Quick question: I have setup an analog trunk and works fine except that after I call ends the line stays busy for about 30 seconds. Is this a setting somewhere in the pbx to correct this? thanks.
i have a problem with caller id outbound calls . the customer see !! UNKNOW !! in his screem, im tried to make all possible but, twilio carrier dont send one real solution about it
Willie H, can this system auto answer an incoming fax and either route it to a fax machine or email it out as a PDF file? as in you have the same phone number for voice and fax, not separate. Thank You! and great videos !!
If I have multiple analog lines going into the Grandstream is there a way to have it select the first available line vice selecting one specific line in the outbound rules?
Thanks for the reply, thats how I have it currently set up. The user dials 11XXXXXXXXXX for line 1 and 22XXXXXXXXXX for line 2. I have 4 lines total so it goes up to 44 for line 4 and I strip the first two digits. What I would like to do it have the user just dial 9XXXXXXXXXX have have the Grandstream select the first available analog trunk. Hopefully I am making sense. Thanks for the help!!!!
Just letting you know that if you have grandstream application for the Android it doesn't show real caller ID I did a test with a friend I have their contact number and name in my phone and it showed up something really weird and the contact name didn't show up instead of showed up something really weird for the name and the person was shocked and I said you see this is the reason why a grand scheme is having a major issue and people such as people like me were supposed to be picking up sales calls are actually not picking up sales calls cuz people like myself have a habit of can you guess I'll tell you anyway you don't have to guess people like me have a habit of if I take your business card it's within 15 minutes later in my cell phone contacts that means that if somebody else calls me it's immediately flagged as a Spam call there's an issue with it in there with the incoming caller ID please have it fixed and check it out because you'll be very surprised it doesn't show up when you have a person in your contacts and should even if you synchronize all your contacts with your cell phone and a grandstream app has only contacts from your cell phone it still won't matter when the person calls your business number it's not going to show up correctly
Where is the VOIP trunks Video?
Thanks
Willie Howe, my inbound rout doesn't work at all, don't know what I might have done wrong. But outbound route is working great.
Thankyou Mr. Willie, to make us understand the call patterns of Ucm series,
When multiple trunks are configured (SIP & Copper), how do I select a specific trunk to make an outbound phone call?
Is it possible to add a programmable line key or multi-purpose key to connect the phone to an analog trunk on an FXO port? I don’t mean using a dial pattern.

Is there a pattern that just allows everything?
So, my fire house has 2 incoming lines. Line 2 is a fail over for line 1. if line one is busy the call forwards to line 2. how to I configure the system to allow us to pick the outside line we would like to use with the line keys?

Thank YOU!, Although you may believe that you can't explain it clearly, it is actually very understandable.
Hello, nice video.
Say I want to be able to call UK numbers, how will the patten look?

Hi. How do I set one extension to not allow any outgoing calls except the dedicated speed dial numbers. To be used for security gaurd after hours.
Can you view an incoming call from the active call menu
I think the only thing that makes this a bit wonky is rate centers that have two area codes in them.
Great tutorials! I cant seem to get an extension to dial out using a particular trunk line! What am i missing??
What is I use X. for the pattern but when I call any line with ivr I can't select any of the option
