- Team USA will retroactively receive the gold medal for the team skating competition at the Beijing Winter Games in 2022. Team USA member Madison Hubbell said on ABC7 News "Getting Answers" that she hopes for a long-delayed podium ceremony this summer at the Paris Summer Games.

Russian level was far beyond US that day. Even if Valieva was replaced with Shcherbakova or Trusova they would have still won gold. I understand that rules are rules but we all know who the best were that night.
If they are the best, they wouldn’t have to cheat and break the rules all the time.
But Kamila was the one who was skating that night. The Russians were not the best, they were cheating that night. Your hypotheticals don't matter. They were dirty that night like they have been for a decade. Russia should have been banned for 12 years after Sochi. A literal superlab built to alter samples for their doped athletes. What a sick sick way to do sport. Filthy.

Skład Sądu Arbitrażowego ds. Sportu (CAS) prowadzący sprawę pomiędzy Rosyjską Agencją Antydopingową (RUSADA), Międzynarodową Unią Łyżwiarską (ISU), Światową Agencją Antydopingową (WADA) a rosyjskim łyżwiarzem figurowym Kamila Valieva wydała wyrok 29 stycznia 2024 r.
Stwierdzono, że Kamila Valieva (ROC) dopuściła się naruszenia przepisów antydopingowych (ADRV) zgodnie z klauzulą 4.1 Ogólnorosyjskich przepisów antydopingowych z dnia 24 czerwca 2021 r. (rosyjski ADR), w związku z czym CAS nałożył okres czterech (4 ) lata dyskwalifikacji 25 grudnia 2021 r.
W rezultacie i zgodnie z art. 10.10 Przepisów Antydopingowych ISU i 12.10 Przepisów Antydopingowych RUS Pani Valieva zostanie zdyskwalifikowana ze wszystkich zawodów, które odbyły się w okresie zakazu startów, w tym z Mistrzostw Europy ISU w Łyżwiarstwie Figurowym 2022. Zostanie również zdyskwalifikowana ze pojedyncze zawody kobiet podczas Zimowych Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Pekinie w 2022 r. oraz wszystkie jej indywidualne wyniki i punkty w programie krótkim i zawodach w łyżwiarstwie dowolnym zostaną odrzucone, co spowoduje zmianę rankingu wyników zawodów drużynowych.

Kamila Valieva (ROC) is found to have committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) under Clause 4.1 of the All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules of 24 June 2021 (the Russian ADR) and the CAS imposed a period of four (4) years of ineligibility December 25, 2021.
As a result and according to art. 10.10 ISU Anti-Doping Rules and 12.10 of the RUS Anti-Doping Rules, Ms. Valieva will be disqualified from all competitions which took place during the period of ineligibility, this includes the ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2022. She will also be disqualified from the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Women’s single competition and all her individual results and points in the Short Program and the Free Skating competitions will be dismissed leading to a re-ranking of the Team event results.

Коллегия Спортивного арбитражного суда (CAS), рассматривающая дело между Российским антидопинговым агентством (РУСАДА), Международным союзом конькобежцев (ISU), Всемирным антидопинговым агентством (ВАДА) и российским фигуристом. Камила Валиева вынесла приговор 29 января 2024 года.
Камила Валиева (ОКР) признана совершившей нарушение антидопинговых правил (НАДП) в соответствии со статьей 4.1 Общероссийских антидопинговых правил от 24 июня 2021 года (Российские НАДП), и CAS применил четырехкратный (4) ) годы дисквалификации 25 декабря 2021 года.
В результате и согласно ст. 10.10 Антидопинговых правил ИСУ и 12.10 Антидопинговых правил России г-жа Валиева будет дисквалифицирована со всех соревнований, которые проводились в период дисквалификации, включая Чемпионат Европы по фигурному катанию 2022 года. Она также будет дисквалифицирована с участия в соревнованиях. Женское одиночное соревнование на зимних Олимпийских играх 2022 года в Пекине, а также все ее индивидуальные результаты и очки в короткой программе и соревнованиях произвольной программы будут аннулированы, что приведет к изменению рейтинга результатов командных соревнований.

The whole ROC team should have had their medals stripped, and it should be the USA, Japan and Canada. The Canadians have every right to be upset, and I'm from the US.
The only counterargument I've heard to that is that the Canadian federation did not fight for that outcome or their athletes. Shame on them. They let the US do the hard work and now want to complain because their athletes were left out. That said, one disqualified athlete on a team should disqualify the entire team.
