How to Know Which Student Films to Apply For!

- Earlier this year I was filming a lot of student films. They're such a great starting place for any new actors hoping to break in to the industry and I wanted to share my experiences in hopes that it helps other people!
There will be several videos over the coming weeks and months as I couldn't possibly fit everything in to just one video! Today we're talking about how to know which casting calls you should actually apply for, what things should you be paying attention to? How do you avoid scams, figure out what you're more likely to get cast as, and make sure you know what you're signing up for!?

You are really trying hard to get experience.My 20 yr old drama relative last year managed to do four short films for her local Uni, one was show in a Cinema & Festival. It got good reviews. She did a show reel with excepts from three of those films & put it on Vimeo. A few weeks later she got an audition for a feature film. Unfortunately it just got started when Covit 19 came along. It is now up in the air as to whether it will ever get finished, but she got noticed & that is important. You are doing the right thing.
That's amazing, congrats to her! And fingers crossed for the film! I know there was the intention for two of the ones I did to be shown at festivals, but who knows what will happen! Either way, they really are such great experience. Thank you, that's really encouraging :)
I have just been watching your 'Performance' videos. Your interpretation of 'The Hills are Alive' is really excellent, 'I won't say I'm in Love' is lovely & (funnily enough) the 'Game of Throne interviews are brilliant. Why not re-do a video of the 'Vampire Diaries' where you stay lying in bed throughout, just thinking, reacting to the prerecorded monologue. You have such an expressive face. The current version doesn't properly match the dialogue to the film & I feel you could give it atmosphere & depth. I hope you don't mind me saying these things.
Thank you so much! That means a lot! My vision for the Vampire Diaries was basically trying to create my own version of the first scene of the tv show, but that's a really interesting idea, if I ever get some spare time I'll have to revisit it!
