Inherited this lens from my great grandpa. Through the generations it was kept in excellent shape. I use it with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera now
@VintageLensesForVideo what kind of wider zoom counterpart do you recommend? There seem to be Vivitar Series 1 28-80, 28-90, 28-105, or so and i can't really judge/evaluate them.
Nice video. You could've used a lens hood. The video looking like lacking contrast. I too have 3 copies this Vivitar Series 1 lens and I'm using it mostly for portrait photography. It isolates the background and renders buttery smooth bokeh. Heavy but excellent.
I used to have this lens too but I had to sell it because of the sheer size of weight of it. The lack of a tripod collar made it a bit dangerous to put it on my A7s. Now that I have a Tamron 70-200 there's no need for it but I do miss it sometimes. Nice shots btw! How do you manage without a tripod collar?
The cheapest I found this lens was for $47. I didn't buy it yet because i don't know if its worth it? I have a sony a6000. The seller said that the only problem is that theres visible oil on the apeture blades. I have a neewer 35mm & a sony sel50f1.8 lens. Is this lens worth buying?

Yes, there are a few and 28-90mm is the best I've tried from this lot
Do you remember if you shot any of this in slow motion? Or did you just slow it in post for some shots?
Imhotep397 all of this was shot in 50fsp :)

Is this shot wide open? My vintage lenses don't look this nice.
Nate's Film Tutorials yes, if I remember, all wide open. It's quite a nice lens, especially for the price
