Ahhh this is very cool! I recently wen trough my bulk and built 7 decks for the newest Innistrad block for each race/archtype, they play pretty well vs each other. I love casual Magic :3
I really love your videos of inexpensive decks for kitchen table magic, please keep up this good work Will there be duskmourn get decked decks? I really love the mechanics and the powerlevel of the set
INFAMOUS BUTCHER ANGEL OF DEATH This was the only one of the 40k decks I didnt try to Decommanderise. I had a brief look but nothing jumped out as a start point for me. I have actually put together UG Tyranids though in physical form! Having ramp and creatures with X casting costs helps the curve actually function: a huge issue trying to use the cards outside of commander for sure.
Yeah really not sure what the Imperium deck's theme was, tokens is the closest I suppose. Definitely not as clear-cut as Tyranids (counters and ramp), Necrons (artefacts) and Chaos (cascade)
Sometimes all you need is a thematic tie not all decks need to be a synergistic masterpiece sometimes you just need good midrange dudes that turn sideways and are better than your opponents' creatures. I really like this deck actually I think it's a great start to a Black/White midrange The Rock Style of deck. I potentially would look into more disruption fo rthe deck and maybe less creatures. Perhaps I'd remove the For the Emperors and the Inquisitorial Rosette for 4 Duress and potentially dumping the 2 Dreadnaughts for an extra pair of mana rocks.
Two big surprises for me when looking over the 40k set: No targeted discard effects (imagine how cool an 40k-themed Thoughtseize, Despise, or Castigate would've looked!) and no Temple of Silence!
you did well keeping to the commander set cards only, it’s a shame the gorgeous warhammer art version of swords to plowshares is outside of the get decked budget
To be fair Astartes don't really have a mechanical purpose beyond attacking. Being expensive and generically powerful is pretty accurate to the lore. They aren't knights, but a casual fan is unlikely to know or care.
@Triceratopping You could make a claim that the Chapter Masters are Knights considering they have fiefs and serfs and take noble oaths to be good boys who help the Emperor at all times

I'll be recording those soon ready for early October release 🙂

@@Triceratopping just wild I guess targeted discard effects are just no fun now. The lack of White/Black duals is wild to me.

Thanks bud, appreciate it 🙂

Grey Knights :0
@@Triceratoppingdoes that also make them Wolves because of the Space Wolves?
@@Shadow264 of course not, there are no Wolves on Fenris
