If you ever get a chance to see Anvil live, do it. One of the best shows I've seen. They play every show like it's a sold out stadium. Great crowd interaction. Lips and Robb play epic solos. Just so much fun.
The one and only time I saw them at Foufoune's, Lips did a 15 minute dildo solo. That is, he took a vibrating dildo and made horrible noises by going up and down the guitar strings while it was turned on. It was fucking embarrassing and I feel ripped off, even though I didn't pay to get in. Anvil straight up sucks.
I did and it was not horrid but talked to lipps afterward could not believe how stupid he was vs what he claimed to know everything about....got some stuff signed. Metal on metal album....and the first one. The rest pass.

I've loved Anvil from hard'n'heavy in 81, I think it was 83 that I saw them in Dublin with Black Sabbath, diamond head(no show) , twisted sister, mamas boys and the mighty Motorhead, what a fucking day , brilliant. Thank you lips and rob you're pure Metal.
