  • This video shows how to adjust the TPMS warning level for a Porsche 997 using a factory PIWIS II diagnostic system.
I've not tried it, but this method also likely works for 987 Caymans and Boxsters.
    Good luck and be safe.

Thanks really fixed the problem on 997.1 gt3rs. Only thing was pcm needed to be “wake up” after changing tire pressure presets otherwise radio had stopped working . Saved me $$$$ dealer wanted to replace module sensors plus labor. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Cool! Glad it worked for you. What did you do to "wake up" the PCM? Ignition off/on? Or was there more to it?

Yes I had to repeat the hand over process and go to pcm and there was an activate option. Thanks

Do you know if same on 997.2 Turbo? I am running R888R tires at lower pressure and the low pressure light is driving me crazy.

Thank you for this video! My independent mechanic was looking for this for an hour. Is this the same vehicle handover that resets all the module softwares? My heated seats and AC don't work after my battery drained. Also this is being done with the car on?

Yes the car was running while I did this. Unfortunately, I can't answer your other question regarding handover. I borrowed the PIWIS II from a friend (who'd borrowed it from someone else). He showed me the basics on how to change the coding (which I demonstrated in the video) and it worked for me. But I'm otherwise no expert and can't answer any questions. You may try asking on the Rennlist forum. Good luck.

So I have a 997.2 Turbo and did this. I see my new tire name in options but when I pick it I get TPM Inactive? No reading at all. Go back to summer 19” and reads normally?

Hmmm. I'm sorry, I can't advise you as I don't have the PIWIS to go explore the menus again. I do think that it should work on the 997.2 as the settings are part of the instrument cluster which I believe is the same on all the 997s. Do all of your settings look like mine at the 7min mark in the video?

@@brainz006 don’t know. My buddy did it for me today using your video so I will assume so.
