I recognized Baumaniere immediately which is such a magical place. We stayed there last September and I can tell you it would be an incredible venue. Honestly, I was in tears when it came time to leave. Wherever you choose, I wish you a wonderful wedding and long, happy marriage.

October 2023 bride here. We had ours at Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, Portugal. We didn’t have a wedding planner which saved us so much money. Luckily, our venue was okay to directly work with us without one. It might not be the same for Italy ‘cos we tried looking at venues there too and they prefer working with a wedding planner.
That said, I can see the importance of having one especially to translate and negotiate with vendors and definitely, to help you out on the day of! The fourth venue you visited was stunning and definitely my favorite. If you’re already set on that one, I would ask if they can recommend a planner that usually works with them because they would know the ins and outs of the venue. You wouldn’t want a planner who’s also their first time working there, if that makes sense. We got lucky with our vendors for this part because they needed minimal instructions or where to go / where to set up, etc which also resulted in less stress for us. They have better insights too than how the bride/groom may initially see things. Have the best time planning ❤

You might want to choose the venue before hiring a wedding planner. That way, the planner’s focus is already set on that location and can hit the ground running as opposed to waiting until you know where the ceremony will be held.

My niece got married in Lucca Italy. It was a small intimate wedding with about 30 guest and it was beautiful

Great you guys ! What I wanna see ? Well...the classical two things first: What about your wedding rings ? Do you craft them yourselves ? Some jewellers are offering , that couples can make their wedding rings themselves Or do you prefer to give a design to the jeweller and he crafts the rings for you ? AND-obviously- I wanna see your bridal dress - shopping. Or will your dress be designed and done just for you ? I see you in a long, flowy dress , simple , elegant and made out of silk or satin. And what about Kobe ? Your cute little "son" cannot be with you , right ? What a piity !! Then: Will you use special written wedding - promises for each other ? Such like: " Since I´ve found you,I am complete, you are everything for me and I will love you until in all eternity........ " ( cheesy, I know lol , but you get the idea...) would like to know, how it is: You will marry in a foraign country-what are the conditions for being also married in the states ? What do you have to do ? And last I would like to know: How do you melt your cultures into each other ? You are chinese-american, the wedding will be in Europe . Will you take influences from your heritages, your american home AND your european wedding location and melt all this together to a beautyful concept ? Iam curious about all of that and thrilled to see more...sending you all my best wishes.
