He definitely looks like he is comfortable if not enjoying himself. MF is a lot less experienced at this stuff than CJF also, so that may be part of it.
It’s definitely not so much enjoying it as it is strategy. He rants so he gives his players/staff publicity, which gets more attention to go back toward his program’s accomplishments and, in doing so, also takes up more time, so less questions are eventually asked, and less pertinent information about his team’s status is revealed to the media.
There are definitely times when Franklin doesn't. Depending on situations and questions. Multiple times he has made headlines this season getting on the press.
Franklin talks about consistency in scheduling yet Penn St has played 5 FCS schools in the last 20yrs - meanwhile ND has played 1 over a period of 150yrs. How is that consistent Mr. Franklin?
That’s a strawman argument that totally misses his point, but 5 is pretty low for 20 years. Look at the average SEC schedule, almost every team plays an FCS every year. That is one thing we need changed
@@Hockeywizard5577 Actually it's not, it's dead on. 5 over 20 yrs is NOT low compared to 1 over 150 years. After all, he's taking a shot at Notre Dame's schedule, not the SEC. And last I checked the Big 20 has 20 teams, 18 of which will not play in a championship game, like Notre Dame. Franklin is butthurt, a fake tough guy, and not very smart.
Man no offense but why is every team PSU has played in the playoffs so far so desperate for bulletin board material. Just tons of smack talk and offense taken by opposing fans every week in every video. He's not talking shit on ND. Settle down.

Every team should be in a conference, says the man who is probably going to lose to a team who is not, hahaha. Franklin concern yourself with what you can do to beat your opponent. Leave the things you can’t change about your opponents to others.
So Franklin would prefer it if every team were a part of a conference. Very ambitious. Perhaps we could start with a smaller goal, and see how that goes. Like having all programs condemn and prosecute sexual assaults or rapes occurring in their college football programs...including against children. That seems pretty uncontroversial and achievable.
Is that right? Can you please go tell that to the rest of the country? I think you're the only one who knows that in the United States, no one cares about skin color.
Whether or not you care about skin color has no impact on its importance in the history of our nation. Less than a single lifetime ago, black men weren’t allowed to exist alongside/compete with white men on the field (or school or workplace or general society) let alone lead a team of diverse men in sport. A couple lifetimes before that, white men enriched themselves off the labor of black slaves. It is absolutely notable that this will be the first black head coach to compete for a college championship.
im brown skin Latino, we want our piece of the pie! we're 37% of the nation and are not properly represented. if we're going to play this game lets do it right and be consistent. sounds ridiculous doesn't it? Yes because it is ridiculous. Content of character as MLK once said.
@@hikedayley9309 and tell me how are they going to score besides a kickoff return and a turnover deep in the opposing teams side of the field. Notre Dame's performance was subpar vs georgia and they basically win against day 5th year senior in high school.

Genuinely like Freeman. Both great coaches and ambassadors for the game! Hope Penn State wins, but if they don't I'll be happy for Freeman.
The race questions are just ridiculous. Franklin's career as a coach as several different schools built up his resume for the penn state position.
The first 10 minutes to be exact 😢
@brandonchristopher1083 , the first two questions are focused on writing a story on race, not on the players or the success of the program.
Franklin seems to really like these press conferences. He enjoys story telling. Marcus Freeman looks like he’d rather be doing anything else.
