As much as I like Kpop, no one is nearly close to little mix. In LM EVERYONE can sing live, they give their all in performances, write their songs, and are truly empowering through their music (unlike many gg's, who's "empowering" lyrics are just them flexing how much money/pretty/haters they have, which isn't empowering at all). They deserve much more appreciation from people

they are young, after the 2000's boy band/girlband boom ended there were not many groups that got notoriety and then One Directions' whole gimmick (aka excuse) was that they didn't dance because groups who danced were "lame", 5h were like 4 bad dancers and Normani. A lot of young people around the world were drawn to K-pop because they really danced, like a lot of people were drawn to Little Mix because they could sing and dance very well. They’re one of the only girl group apart from mamamoo that I know where all members are strong vocals and sing live while dancing without lip syncing, you can’t really compare them to a lot of Korean or US girl groups where there’s mixed vocal ability and lip syncing/heavy back tracks, their energy in live performances are top tier

B2K made dance crew routines popular in the early 2000's during their "You Got Served" era. Which inspired the Step-Up franchise and made the style of dance popular among Asian Americans. K-pop imports 90%+ of their songwriters and choreographers from Western countries...mainly the U.S. Like Kanye said...we gave them the culture.

The day Little Mix decided to go on hiatus and focus on their personal life and their own family I was so sad and happy at the same time. LM is my fave girl group up until now no other group for me is like them with 4 outstanding vocals and amazing dancers. Their harmonies are also so good and not to hear new songs they make is really sad but at the same time they've been in the industry so long that they deserved to rest and have time with their fam. I hope you get to see their live performance and harmonies you'll see how even more talented they are.

I wouldn't say they are not popular, in the 2010s Little Mix and Fifth Harmony were THE western girl groups. It's just that k-pop has a blueprint of what a group looks like (assigning positions) and since it has worked for them they keep doing it (though some newer groups don't have that). As for the music, kpop has definitely been inspired by Little Mix songs. There's also groups like Mamamoo who I believe have taken a lot of inspiration from Little Mix (focusing more on the vocals etc). I agree that they should get more recognition worldwide though. People could have heard them but might not realize it was them.

Two things come to my mins when I see or hear Little Mix; 1.) Wings brings me back to One Direction for some reason. 2.) I heard Shout Out To My Ex and think of G.R.L Ugly Heart. But I forgot how good they sound and how much I loved them when I was in my pre-teen years.

Ik they dont really represent the whole koreans but I find its funny how they dont know other countries having similiar kind of artists. I mean at least they know about MJ right? them comparing little mix with kpop artist feels weird to me. I do love kpop so much, but they're more of a performance artist than a musical artist to me. In kpop, their music, choreo and visuals are made to fit the concept of the team, thats why kpop is so addictive, bcs its so effective and cohesive. But for most performers overseas, they usually a musicians first, their choreo and visual comes later and it is made to complete the music. I'm from Brazil and Little Mix was part of my adolescence, it reminded me of my friends dancing to "Salute" at school, when I was 14 years old. Sometimes the cultural difference is shocking regarding songs, styles of music and lyrics of these songs because things in Korea are very different and more relaxed even when they are made to be more sexual while in other countries like Brazil, the United States and England people just sing what they want without caring if someone has a closed mind

B2K made dance crew routines popular in the early 2000's during their "You Got Served" era. Which inspired the Step-Up franchise and made the style of dance popular among Asian Americans. K-pop imports 90%+ of their songwriters and choreographers from Western countries...mainly the U.S.

little mix is standard and inspiring for many girl groups
The day Little Mix decided to go on hiatus and focus on their personal life and their own family I was so sad and happy at the same time. LM is my fave girl group up until now no other group for me is like them with 4 outstanding vocals and amazing dancers. Their harmonies are also so good and not to hear new songs they make is really sad but at the same time they've been in the industry so long that they deserved to rest and have time with their fam. I hope you get to see their live performance and harmonies you'll see how even more talented they are.

I wouldn't say they are not popular, in the 2010s Little Mix and Fifth Harmony were THE western girl groups. It's just that k-pop has a blueprint of what a group looks like (assigning positions) and since it has worked for them they keep doing it (though some newer groups don't have that).
As for the music, kpop has definitely been inspired by Little Mix songs. There's also groups like Mamamoo who I believe have taken a lot of inspiration from Little Mix (focusing more on the vocals etc).
I agree that they should get more recognition worldwide though. People could have heard them but might not realize it was them.

I love kpop to bits, but seeing how koreans actually believe no one outside of korea can sing and dance so well is baffling. Kpop is HEAVILY inspired by western groups, especially spice girls and even little mix themselves. Obviously it’s not their fault, that’s what they’ve been taught to think, but it is insane.

Two things come to my mins when I see or hear Little Mix;
1.) Wings brings me back to One Direction for some reason.
2.) I heard Shout Out To My Ex and think of G.R.L Ugly Heart.
But I forgot how good they sound and how much I loved them when I was in my pre-teen years.

Ik they dont really represent the whole koreans but I find its funny how they dont know other countries having similiar kind of artists. I mean at least they know about MJ right? them comparing little mix with kpop artist feels weird to me. I do love kpop so much, but they're more of a performance artist than a musical artist to me. In kpop, their music, choreo and visuals are made to fit the concept of the team, thats why kpop is so addictive, bcs its so effective and cohesive. But for most performers overseas, they usually a musicians first, their choreo and visual comes later and it is made to complete the music. As much as I love kpop, when it comes to musical skills little mix are much more skilled and they got a lot of power for their creativity. Thats why when the girl said that people need to be open minded, I was like...I think it needs to go both ways also, right?

I'm from Brazil and Little Mix was part of my adolescence, it reminded me of my friends dancing to "Salute" at school, when I was 14 years old.
Sometimes the cultural difference is shocking regarding songs, styles of music and lyrics of these songs because things in Korea are very different and more relaxed even when they are made to be more sexual while in other countries like Brazil, the United States and England people just sing what they want without caring if someone has a closed mind
