Only meatheads/iron warriors like us would buy a house with the thought of high ceilings and immediately think of overhead pressing and chins haha

So I applied this style of training to my life. Pavel calls it greasing the groove.
So in 2002 having run out of money for college i dropped out. Needing money I took a job as a custodian at the same university. I was making $15.75 an hour and paying 75 dollars a month for heath insurance with zero deductible, vision insurance, complete dental insurance that covered everything. Times have changed.
Anyway, I got assigned to an all girls hall ( Imagine being 23 Iworked 2 years after high school to save for college and in an all girls dorm.) where I clean 10 bathrooms a day on a 30 minute schedule. In each bathroom I noticed a bar holding the toilet stall partitions together. I was just tall enough for me to hang from and not touch the floor.
I began doing 1 pull from these bar every 30 minutes. 7 am. 7:30am. I was doing 10 pullups a day greasing rhe groove. Every month after that I added 1 pullup. So 20 pullups a day. Then 30 and so on.
When I got to 50 pullups a day I started doing chinups on the bathrooms on the north end. Pullups on the other end. I got up to 12 pullups/chinups every half hour for 10 bathrooms. 30 minutes rest between sets.
In a back storeroom I put a dip stand.
Before work, on my morning break, lunch break before I went home and at home I would do dips. I got so good at dips I was using a old standard weight plate. The 1 inch kind. It was a 100 lb plate. I was up to 20 dips 5 times a day for 3 days a week.

Yes, I learned this waaaaaay back in the day from Pavel, and I did a seminar with Jeff Martone & he shared how he did 88 lb pull ups all throughout the day at The Arnold Sports Fest, demonstrating. The next week, he did the 106 lb Pull Up which he could never do before. Your story is GREAT

@@ZEvenEsh I have Jeff's pullup station. One of the best products I have purchased.
I was amazed at how much muscle I was able to put on during those 2 years training that was. Of course I was 23.

McGill pull-ups are also great. Very similar to GTG but with more of an emphasis on speed/explosiveness. Both have worked for me.

I agree, they are excellent and also highly applicable to the tactical community

I saw that this method is recommended to be done several times a day, and there is little talk about warming up each time. Do you need to warm up or stretch? Thanks for the video

It's always good to do something like a band pulls or recline row but GTG is usually done cold, and still, should be careful w/ any form of exercise
