crying because raven has been such an inspiration for me even since i was little and watching her on tv I've always loved her and i still do when i found out raven came out i was so happy because she could finally be herself when i told my mom about it she didnt like what i was telling her so i knew it wasnt safe but i pushed through and told my mom that i was a lesbian which she took it as oh i said it because raven said it no i always knew but i worked with her for a while being open with my mom and even now she doesnt fully accept it but now i can be more open about it with my family and mostly every one accepts it so thank you raven for always being a inspiration to me i love you so much this interview is so beautiful i cant stop crying now this is beautiful 💓💓😭🙌🙌

Man, this makes me love Raven even more. I've loved her since the Bill Cosby Show. I remember hearing that she came out and I was so happy! How often does it happen that your longest celebrity crush actually happens to be gay? Lol. But. It's crazy how the things they've been through - Ellen, Raven and many other celebrities, inspire people they'll never even meet. It's so important to live your truth. For you, for others. It's no easy but it'll never be in vain.

+Mike Blue if you listen closely you can hear a child-like voice and others randomly comes out as she expresses those moments of her life experience. it can easily be missed if you weren't initially paying attention to it per say. I'm closely observant like that😊. Take a listen again and see if you picked it up.

I love this interview! I understand she said some foolish things over the recent years; however, I wish people would reconsider one thing. I believe people misunderstood what she was trying to say with her "I'm American" comment. From my perspective, I believe she was just trying to call out the fact that it doesn't make sense for her to be called an African American. Why must she still have African be apart of her descriptor when they are so many people that are [white] Americans? What makes them the standard/norm? Why can't we all just be Americans?
Anyways, that is how I understood it.

That was my fear also. When I came out not really many people said things other than my family. Make sure you're in a good headspace when you come out because sometimes things don't go as planned. It'll slowly get better though, but just be prepared for worse case scenario.
bring up homosexuality then get her thoughts towards it and if she seems cool about the topic, tell her. also don't actually have to come out to anyone cause its none of their business in the first place.
You should fight it, no one is "born gay" despite what these people on here would say. Don't disappoint your parents and your principle they are counting on you. You are their future, and if you tell them that you are gay they will be disappointed for the rest of their lives. Might as well throw yourself away.
