    Nice review! I actually found the cheba prepoo, when applied on dry and even better slightly damp hair, is one of the slippest prepoos I've come across. I surprisingly really liked the slip and moisture of the fenugreek DC after washing my hair with a clarifying shampoo. I just love this brand for the great, natural ingredients it has.

      Really??? Haha that’s crazy to me. I’ll have to dry it on dry hair, I think I wet it based on the instructions lol maybe they were wrong 🤷🏽‍♀️. Lol this makes my review feel like a sham but I guess just goes to show different reactions for different strands! Have you tried the shampoo? I would definitely try other products from them, I too of course love their ingredients and the products still seemed to have done “good things” to my hair, I was really just struggling with the tangling

      @@UptightCurlsbyAmanda Your review is not a sham; everybody has a right to their own opinion b/c as you point out that everyone will have their own individual hair experience. I've tried probably over 75% of Neges Banda's products including some from the skin and kids lines. The molasses shampoo you used I also didn't prefer it to others. I didn't think it was as moisturizing as promised, it's thick to get out of the bottle, and doesn't lather as I would like to. But I will say that it does leave my hair soft though.

    OK sorry I know this is my second post for this video but are you not using any more tools on here to help detangle. I have found that with my high porosity, 4a and 3C coils that I do benefit from a detangling brush. I feel like it helps me to spread my deep conditioners and my leave ins. As my hair has reached new lengths ,I find that frizziness and summer in Texas is harder to manage and the tangles are there so I detangling brush really helps. And trying to find a glycerin free custard

      Oof, yes I do struggle with using tools I just feel like since my ends knot so much I’m tearing through and ripping my hair strands. I also have no patience so anything taking me more than a couple minutes to get through a section feels like too much lol
      I need to work in smaller sections but I do agree that detangling gets easier the longer your hair gets. Frizziness - I honestly think there must be no solution some people just have frizzy hair. I don’t think most products I use have in glycerin but I’ll have to double check, thanks for the tip! 👍🏽

    Hahahahahahaha! Yes, the term is ‘rat’s nest’ and I had to google it to understand where the term came from! I didn’t have postpartum shedding with my first two sons but when I had my last, boom. I lost about 1/4 of my density and all my edges. Thankfully, it grew back but it was a tough time!

    • @UptightCurlsbyAmanda
      @UptightCurlsbyAmanda  2 роки тому +1

      Ok! Lol I never got around to looking it up so thank you for confirming 😆.
      And I guess you and I just have efficient hair follicles, no point shedding after each baby, mine new I was done after number 3 so it just waited until I was finished to just all come out one time.
      Oof your edges?? That’s rough, and the awful thing is that it’s gonna come out no matter what you do. I’m glad everything grew back though!

      Lol well thank you, I appreciate it! My sister is about to shave her head again as she starts chemo next week (not for cancer).
      Do you keep it short because of your RA makes it painful to wash your hair? Did you ever try out beaupeep luxuries??

    I bought the pre poo bundle and I have only tried the chebe pre poo to date. I am not a fan of the smell but it works well. I do not think I will rush to purchase any other products from Neges Banda right now. I’ll try all the pre poos and by Black Friday I’ll decide if I need to buy anything else from them

    • @UptightCurlsbyAmanda
      @UptightCurlsbyAmanda  2 роки тому +1

      That makes a lot of sense. At least in my experience it’s not among the best collections so nothing is rush out for pre Black Friday.
      I’m going to have to look into this pre poo bundle, so many have commented about it in my review videos

    First! You post I watch! Forgot to ask what is your take on glycerin and products? Do you think your hair being low porosity does better with glycerin or do you fine that you tried to avoid at all cost?

    • @UptightCurlsbyAmanda
      @UptightCurlsbyAmanda  2 роки тому +1

      Hehe as always, thank you Tiffany for tuning in, I hardly feel like I finished editing this video the kids have me up a wall! But I wanted to keep my consistency haha so hope I didn’t miss anything 😬
      I don’t mind glycerin, I know some react badly to it but I don’t. I don’t love or particularly like it because there are better ingredients that do the same plus provide additional benefits so it’s sorta filler to me.
      I do think it’s best to more avoid humectants if you have high porosity hair but I also really think many of this stuff is a mixture of individual AND science. What are your thoughts?

      @@UptightCurlsbyAmanda as my hair has gotten much longer at 14 months post big chop, I find this humidity really RAISES my hair volume. I don’t mind it but I like more definition and movement than volume. I may have to change my custard styler.

    I would like to still try the pre-poo bundle from this brand but their wash day and styling products have never really intrigued me. I tried their buttercream cleanser but I was not a fan. Somehow it was so stripping and made my hair so rough 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @tj817
      @tj817 2 роки тому +1

      FYI: I put my Ayurvedic oil mixture into my deep condish and gurl!! Game changer! Thanks for the idea!

    • @UptightCurlsbyAmanda
      @UptightCurlsbyAmanda  2 роки тому +1

      To have a shampoo named “buttercream” and make it stripping should be a crime lol. That rough “reset” feeling can feel really terrible and having used the beau Peep Luxuries Awakening shampoo, there’s proof you don’t need to strip to reset so the bar is a bit higher for me.
      People keep talking about this pre poo bundle I’m going to have to take a look. I definitely think the products are good and worth a try, but it’s not one I’d say to go for if they aren’t actively looking to try things out.
      Is flavor of Amaya still working for you??

    Have you tried Ecoslay?

      I have! I reviewed it in this series about a year ago and I also had a livestream with the creator.
      I don’t think I had great product selection but I remember the products I had working very well. I think I used something the wrong way… Ah I remember - the deep conditioner worked better when left on as a leave-in. Made all the difference. Have you tried them?

    • @dimensionsbygina

      Yes I use the Jello Shot and Orange Marmalade. The Jello shot gives me great hold, I pair it with uncle's funky daughter. I got my hair cut recently and have been rocking wash n gos. I'm actually in the process of giving away or throwing away most of my products. I'm sticking with about 7 products for the next year. I'm focusing on hair/scalp health and ease. It takes me about an hour to wash, condition, and style. Then 30 to 45 min to dry.

    I think that given your limitations with time, if something isn't working, you should give yourself permission to abandon the 123 series parameters and use only what you will benefit from the most. I think it's time for a real trim and visit to a salon! It's time! The longer you wait the more they will have to correct!

      even if we were going indoors like that I couldn’t get away for that long. You’re definitely right though - I need a professional trim and shaping. I’ll have to do what I can until I can finally make that happen, thinking first quarter 2023 could work. Meanwhile I’d like to think my hair isn’t in terrible shape! Your comment has me a little scared…
