Shaped By Fire was produced by the band and was mixed by Joseph McQueen at Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles, CA while mastering was completed by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in Nashville, TN. The only exception was for the track “My Own Grave” which was produced by AS I LAY DYING, co-produced by Drew Fulk and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood. The artwork was created by Corey Meyers.

As I lay dying(2000)are the king of metalcore along with Killswitch Engage(1999) and the other 2 earliest metalcore bands Unearth(1997) and All that remains(1998)

@@a.cauilan4632 yeah people nowadays especially the teenagers they all love pop and hiphop.And when they hear metal they just say its scary because of the scream they dont know that scream is greater and harder to achieve than high cleans that pop artist does. And when they hear running double bass drums they think that its coming from the snare or tom. Im just disappointed that pop and other weak song genre removed the knowledge of all the people on the sound that an instrument can produce. I JUST IMAGINE IF POST MALONE HEAR A METALCORE WILL HE BE ABLE TO SCREAM OR JUST SING USING STUPID AUTOTUNE
Killswitch and As I Lay are my 2 favorite bands, for sure. I like brutal heaviness of As I Lay Dying though a little more
