Nice Job! I love how you cut the tiles. I was thinking I was going to need a fancy cement saw blade or something. Now I remember, my Dad used to do it that way back in the day. As long as you just need a straight cut, cool!
A better method shown in other videos that doesn't break the old asbestos tile is to lift the nails slightly, then pull the nails straight out. : use a small chisel and hammer to tap under the nail head, the grab the nail head with pliers or nippers and pull straight out. Yep, you can do it yourself. Thanks for the video.
And a shout out to Home Depot for selling this replica 'fiber cement siding' & to GAF for still mfg it to replace the old asbestos tiles (shingles).. they look exactly like the old!

Great video! Thank you for sharing and yes, it is that easy. Yes they want to $12,000 just to take down the asbestos siding what a joke. I just bought replacement siding at Home Depot as well. As for insurance, I had a hard time finding an insurance company that would insure my house. Most companies said we don’t insure houses with asbestos siding. Which to me is ridiculous. (I live in Alabama.) I love my siding. My house is well insulated. When it comes to painting, it hardly takes any paint to paint your house.

And.. it seems like the reason for it breaking (My heart stopped there for a min. Haha) is that you have the board(?) Over it on the side. I would have removed that beforehand.
But if you took all nails out first then yu can directly measure and trace n even use a marker to mark the old holes and drill holes directly higher or below 1 inch higher or low but same horizontally up or down a inch on the studs. Yes...but side to side same dont move so yu dont use same holes but nails go into stud location ..use that meathid when no stud finder at hand... if u use a studfinder great but dont use nails in existing old holes ...nail the new nails or reuse old ones if not bent. And you hammer them into new holes ..n your good then paint ti match ...good job tho
