- Whoops this was filmed a week ago and I'm just getting around to uploading it! Haha since filming it they've extended the Stay Home order in Washington until May 4. So still crossing my fingers that we can somehow have our wedding!
Just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing! I know this is a super casual video, but I feel like I haven't filmed in a really long time and I wanted to check in 😊
I know we're all trying to figure out a new normal in all of this. I feel like I'm starting to get to a point where I've figured out somewhat of a routine and I hope I can get back to filming more videos soon! To be honest it just feels really weird when so many more important things are happening to be talking about makeup or Disney (which is closed for the foreseeable future). But I appreciate watching fun videos as a distraction so I think it makes sense for me to continue to create and share positive, uplifting content like makeup tutorials or sit down videos.
Let me know what you think! I genuinely want to know how this is impacting you. I learned so much from the last video I shared talking about how this could all impact my wedding. It helped me feel a lot less alone, and I hope that we can do that for each other by sharing our experiences.

honestly could REALLY use some disney videos for a distraction!! i love a disney story time video, as my DCP just ended early because of corona :(
This breaks my heart! I just found out today that they're going to start furloughing employees in the next two weeks and it makes me so sad. I'll try to think of some Disney stories - maybe from my most recent trip!

Shalom! Thank you so much for all your fantastic videos! I'm a Disney fanatic and it really warms my heat during this time to watch your Disney videos. May I ask a few questions? 1. What is the secret to maintain this very high level of enthusiasm and energy for an 8 hour shift? :) It seems to me like the hardest part of this job. 2. I understand that as a character performer, you must meet 173 people an hour. How is this possible? I see many videos in which the guests interact with the character performer for a few min. each. 3. Can you please host a male character performer on one of your videos? It would be great to see one of the princes tell about his audition and interaction with guests. Thank you so much! Those are some great questions! It is emotionally draining to work an 8 hour shift, but you do get a lot of breaks which is nice. The company trains you on how to interact with guests as a performer. I try to share videos of male characters when I can (like Aladdin), but there normally isn't a lot of opportunities to meet the princes in the parks. In my vlogs from my most recent trip though I shared videos where I met Eric and Flynn Rider!

I also wanted to know: 1. Have you ever performed on parades? 2. Can you upload videos of you as the character meeting guests? 3. Could stay working for disney if you wanted to? Do they they offer positions like helping with the casting or training new performers/princess to be? It the a professional horizon in working for Disney? Thank you so much! For my mental health, I've discovered I do WAY better if I don't read much online regarding this time we're in. In my opinion, predictions don't help anyone. We just got a big announcement of what the numbers MIGHT be like here in Ontario, Canada in re. to the amount of deaths that COULD occur. That just drums up panic, right? Anyway, I try not to read such articles (I couldn't help but see that little bit because it was SPLASHED on the front of our town's newspaper) and more focused on the great things I CAN do. For instance, I can't teach piano lessons right now, so I'm able to spend time with my 3 kids in the afternoons and evenings (along with the mornings too!), and I'm MUCH more relaxed because I'm not pressured to make supper really fast before my next wave of piano students! So it's things like that I'm trying to focus on.

I live in TN, so things aren't as extreme here as in Seattle. We are still quarantined though. Being homeschooled, it's not the most drastic change in the world for me, but I'm usually doing something every night, as I'm a musical theatre kid. I usually have voice and dance lessons and rehearsals, but now everything's over zoom and we're not sure if our musical's going to happen, as it's set for June. My family is healthy, and as my dad works from home anyway, he still has his job. It's still super weird though, because it's like life has been put on pause. Praying for you and excited for more videos, especially if they're Disney related!

Hello. My name is Aliyah. And I live in Washington too. I am currently trying to file for unemployment. Honestly not having great luck with it but I'm still going to keep trying. I appreciate this video. I also a really hard time creating a daily routine. And plan on getting better at that. P.S. I adore your Disney videos.
I'm so sorry to hear that Aliyah! I hope you've since had better luck filing! Two of my roomates lost their jobs and had difficulty filing for unemployment as well. I can't imagine how stressful that must be!
Great video thanks for checking in. I hope you are having fun with your switch. We've been having some ups and downs too. My brother lost his job. My husband was sent home for a week with no pay so he could get tested for covid 19. He works at a grocery store and one of his Coworkers was sick. He got his results today and he is negative for the virus. The positive is that my husband is home until Wednesday so we can spend as much time together as we want. It's like a mini vacation we've been watching movies and playing board games. I hope you are doing well and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I'm sorry to hear about your brother and your husband! But I'm happy to hear your husband tested negative! And that's a great way of looking at it, as more time to spend together!
I love check in videos, you do not need to get fancy as long as you are being you we will love it! Thankfully my job is 100% remote so not much has changed for me. I did recently purchase a horse property and adopted a puppy so that keeps me in a great routine and I have to put on regular clothes to go outside and start my day

My skin has cleared up SO MUCH from not wearing makeup. Especially my rosacea! But yeah, I’ve decided this week I’m getting ready and dressed to get into a more productive mindset

I'm so glad you are doing well. My Grandfather pasted away on New Year's Day and we were in Disney World. So this year has just sucked sorry for my language. My Grandpa left his house over to my family. So we been moving in and cleaning out houses. But I'm healthy and so is my family and my Grandpa is in a better place (that's what I tell my self.)

I totally feel you on the not having a schedule thing! I'm definitely feeling sorta out of touch and just unmotivated but I just need to start giving myself a routine! I'm glad things are still on for your wedding! My fiancé and I had to postpone because we have family from out of town and we knew there would be financial struggles from furlough that many of us are experiencing. But we are still "eloping" and couldn't be more excited!!! I really hope you get to go through with your original plans 💛
I definitely feel better now that I'm exercising every day and trying to get in a rhythm of when I work from home. I'm sorry you had to postpone your wedding! I'm feeling very torn of wanting to postpone just so I don't have to worry about it anymore and hoping everything will all work out the way it was planned. But I agree, it would be kind of fun to "elope"!

It always feels good to exercise, even when we don't feel like it. 😅 It's totally okay, our wedding was already pretty small and casual so we' were kinda looking forward to making it more intimate. Just like you said, we no longer feel the pressure of having a "perfect wedding day". But I know navigating that is different for everyone. So no matter what happens, you're allowed to feel the happiness, sadness, disappointment, excitement and all the rollercoaster emotions of this time even as it pertains to your wedding. 💕 I was glad to see your update. Stay healthy and I pray that God gives you favor as you walk through this season and step into marriage during a trying time. I worked in accounting as a payroll specialist in a lux hotel. Over the past three weeks I spent my workdays furloughing our 250+ staff. It was honestly heartbreaking every time I got a list of names when I arrived to work every morning💔 I finally got furloughed myself this past week and I feel weird about not having work/routine. I’m trying to keep busy and I’m trying to be positive. It’s been a few days and now I’m starting to embrace this mandatory vacation! Videos like these help are actually helpful ! Makes me feel grounded and calmer. stay healthy 💕
I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! I can't imagine having to be the one to have to furlough someone, that would be really tough. Although I know we all wish things would go back to normal, I really do appreciate the small benefits of being in this position. I've gone on a lot of walks around my home which I don't normally do and I live by a beach so it's beautiful! I also have spent a lot more time cooking and it feels nice to do more stuff around the house. Hang in there!
kenziemacbrown during the first week of furloughs I couldn’t have lunch in the cafeteria. I couldn’t look at all my friends and pretend that everything was fine when I knew that their lives were going to drastically change. 😭 it got easier but that’s only because there was no one left. On my last day there were only 8 people left in the building and the halls were empty and so dark. It was so eerie. I hate that it’s my last memory at work. But I pray this is all over soon and that no big events/conventions are canceled in June, July and so on.You are so lucky you’re by the beach! I worked in downtown along our bay so I would take walks before I went home. But now the presence of law enforcement has increased and they have started to shoo off people away from the bay area and all our beaches. People are walking around my neighborhood too! I kinda feel like Patrick star when he says “who are you people?!” Since I’ve never seen them before 😂 I started repainting all the rooms in my house and fixing things at my moms house so that’ll keep me busy ! My boyfriend started calling me mouse the builder 😂
That sounds horrible! I hope somehow things will be able to go back to normal with your work after all this is over. Yeah walking has been nice, and thankfully there hasn't been a ton of people so I've been able to maintain the 6 feet of distance. And that's a great project! I feel like this will be the most productive spring cleaning yet! Haha

I hope you can somehow have your wedding still! My cousins wedding is planned for June in LA, but who knows if that will even happen now! I feel bad for everyone who planned their weddings for this time. My online school doesn’t start for about 2 more weeks, so I will technically have a month long spring break. I'm really hopeful that your cousin can still have their wedding! I'm still holding out hope for May 23, but we'll see. A lot can happen in a month! Have you done anything fun during your spring break? I've tried to use this time to get better at cooking with a Hello Fresh subscription I got! It's been fun to practice something new!
kenziemacbrown wow cool! Fingers crossed you can have ur wedding! I’ve also been trying to cook! And I’ve tried baking a lot too! My family and I were actually supposed to go to a lake house in Washington for spring break with our church friends, but that got cancelled. This summer I was supposed to go to Asia with my family for my senior trip. We were supposed to visit the 3 Asian Disney parks and possibly go to the olympics, but that also got cancelled. Although we postponed it to next summer (which also makes more sense since I’ll be in 12th grade this fall)!
Well on the bright side that will be a fun way to celebrate graduating from high school!

Hi! I really hope you still get to have your wedding! My drama group has postponed my Sound of Music show and don't have a rescheduled date just yet. Once the Derby (which is really important in my state) was postponed until September, I knew that Sound of Music would probably be too. So I'd say I was fairly prepared, fortunately, it will happen eventually. Anyways, I have definitely been praying for your wedding and really hope it works out!😁

I hope you're doing well and staying healthy! I watched Tiger King and it was so good! It's so sad the way tiger zoos go about things. Tigers are my favorite animal is a tiger so I feel very strongly about the way tigers (and all animals) are treated in captivity. The people who own the sanctuaries on that show are crazy! I play Mario Kart on the switch all the time with my friend and cheer coach at her house! I hope the virus doesn't impact your wedding plans and most importantly I hope the virus fades soon and everyone can be safe and healthy!
It was really sad! I had no idea there were so many more Tigers in zoos than out in the wild! I hope the show helps raise awareness. And thank you, I hope it doesn't impact the wedding too but ultimately as long as everyone I care about is safe and healthy that's truly all that matters!
this was the pep talk i needed today! i'm still struggling with presenting myself as productive, creative, perfect, etc during this time, but slowly my priorities are shifting too. I'm happy to hear that! Honestly if I can get outside and walk for a little bit I feel great! Not gonna lie, I'm still struggling with not feeling productive enough (especially when it comes to making content on UA-cam, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). But I'm trying to give myself grace as much as possible and I'm hoping that it'll help me feel reinvigorated when I'm ready to create again!
For me when I don't wear makeup I break out more because I feel more inclined to touch my face throughout the day, when I'm wearing makeup I don't touch my face as often in fear of messing up my makeup lol.
That makes a lot of sense! I definitely touch my face more when I'm not wearing makeup so maybe that's why!

Honestly in some ways it would be a relief to postpone, but my venue isn't giving us that option right now so there's quite literally nothing I can do but wait. I'm still really sorry you had to make that decision, I know if I get to that point it's going to be really tough.

I totally understand how you’re feeling. My wedding is set for June 20th right now and the unknown of whether or not we can have it then has been a struggle. Thinking of you and hoping for the best, for all of us 💕

Hi! I want to do the DCP when I go to college, and I was wondering if you still go to school? Or does the DCP replace your semesters credits? Btw love your videos!

For the DCP - you have to have completed at least one semester of college before you can apply. Think of the DCP as like a study abroad program. You have a few options to take courses while you're on the program so you don't get behind (through the courses Disney offers or maybe your college has online courses). I got reallllllly lucky and applied at the last second and got in. I was still in college when I applied (which is key), but I was able to do the program the semester after I graduated so I didn't have to take classes while I was there. You could also not take classes and then make them up when you get back. But with the DCP it is for a set amount of time (between 4-6 months) and you do have to return home or back to college when your program is over - or just audition and try to go full time and stay there longer like I did 😊 hope that helps! Sorry for the mouthful! Haha

Hey Kenzie! Last update video, I commented that I was eloping March 21 (original date April 25) We did that and it was honestly so beautiful and better than I could ever imagine. We had just immediate family and their significant other. Maybe about 20 people. It was perfect timing because Not even a week later gov. Inslee placed the stay at home order AND (update) it won’t end till early May. It was truly a blessing, there was so much stress and worry about the wedding and I all I was concerned about was being quarantined without my husband. I hope all goes well for your wedding and however it plays out is just apart of your amazing story. God bless the two of you! Stay healthy and safe 💕
I was thinking of you that day because it was so sunny and I was so grateful that you got to have beautiful weather on your day! That is such a blessing that you were able to do that! I've been thinking about how worst case we would do something similar, and I still think it would be really special!
kenziemacbrown thank you so much💕 that means a lot. It was definitely hard not to have friends and other family members. I was so scared to hurt anyone’s feelings but it was something we both really wanted to do before things got any worse. Everyone has been so loving and understanding! But we are DEFINITELY going to have a celebration party once it’s safe! It was definitely a day to remember, story to tell the grandkids 😂
Haha that's how I've been looking at this whole situation, a story to tell our kids and grandkids! It brings me comfort to know that we'll still be able to celebrate no matter what. And ultimately it's helped me focus on what marriage is all about - not the flowers, gifts, music or food. I honestly don't think I really would've been able to have that clarity without this situation, so for that I'm grateful!
kenziemacbrown yea exactly! During my wedding planning I was more invested in what other people would think, than I had some family drama that gave me anxiety at the whole idea of a wedding. So kind of a tiny blessing that came out of all of this crap.

I would love to see some Disney stuff to distract myself. I've been binge watching DCP videos and I don't go to college in the next 5 years! I've been stuck inside for 3 weeks, our school is closed but I am doing much better than I was doing the first week, because I felt so trapped and anxious. But I am getting a lot of fabric and elastic to sew masks and give them away. I've started working out and making routines do I'm doing better. Love you!
