Great video as always! Way out lasted my prediction of 2mins. Very impressed! Watched a video earlier with Bradley Wiggins and they mentioned that his Gold medal at London 2012 in the TT he averaged 460watts for 52mins. Next video, how long can you last at 460 watts??? 😳
Fergus! You’re a tank man. Recently switched to running more while I am healing up a powerlifting related glute issue. It’s SO different. Seeing what you do man is an inspiration. Keep crushing and hope you’re doing well dude!
Holy shit!!! 👏👏👏 seriouslyyy impressive!!!!
My legs and lungs disagree, nothing but disappointment.
Fergus.... Brilliant as always! Incredible achievement! And like below, something tells me this will indeed lead to You aiming for more. As always inspiring and down right 'ballsy'! Stay safe and thank you for the perspective in this '****** up world. Cheers.
Thanks Keith, really appreciate it!
Mans hit a PR of more than 25 seconds off his mile! Thats HUGE
Good to see you take that break over the weekend big thanks for the honest reflection that led to that. Very powerful keep sharing and creating Fergus team Omnia
Insane effort! For a future vid you could see how long you can hold the 1 hour indoor cycling world record pace...
Incredible this can be run for 2 hrs ,really good effort
Good effort tbf ,seen this done before on u tube and this is most consistent effort
Do a collab with Mark! You are both super fun to watch and inspiring in the same time!
Wheels already in motion for something VERY exciting!
@@ferguscrawley95 very exciting. Can’t wait.
As a lifter who doesn't run and has no idea about pacing I really appreciate the analogies you used to put Kipchoge's speed in perspective 😂
7:54 Fake jogg as a pedestrian when a car is coming
8:07 Marathon pace
8:41 You are late to catch the bus for work
9:12 10k pace
10:36 You are in the vicinity of your home and you get notified there is someone shady in front
11:53 Running after someone who snatched your gf handbag
13:45 Kipchoge/ which I will equate to the pace when a high school girfriend texts your teenage self "Home alone, want to come?"
Man I'd like to see you try a 4 minute mile lol. Looking at this run, at 4 minutes you had ran 1400 meters. So pretty close to a 4 minute mile. Insane effort by a thicc runner!
Mate that is unbelievably impressive at your weight 🤯
Just for comparison anyone know Kipchoge powerlifting total??
I would guess it's about as far away from your total @Fergus as you were to holding that pace for 2hrs.
No because Fergus would have to be record breaking power lifter .
My guess: 20 mins? Hard pace to keep. I wouldn’t hit for a second 😂
Edit: obviously joking, although….AMAZED you held it for this long! Strong performance, as ever :) LIKE 5 Minutes, that’s crazy!
Love it!
Well played fella 💪🏻 👏🏼 …….. now you should get some 🍺 training in for Melrose 7s 😉
Down from 10 k to 5 k to 1,6 k to 42 k ?
Alright mark
You're so funny 🤣🤣 have u taken the MBTI personal test ? I would bet u were an ENTP 😅😅 hello from an ENFP
12:15
Like how you go down from 10 k to 5 k to 42 k
3mins?
Woah
Haha!
I guess you can hold it for three minutes, you'll get one km at his pace.
Mai Thai 😂😂
30 seconds
First
🚀
Cppying mark lewis' content I see....
Safely assuming you haven’t even made it 60s into the video yet 😂
I had major anxiety hoping you weren’t going to stop before a mile.. incredible mate
Your HR might have been as high as mine was 👀
I thought 3:30, 4 min tops. 5 min is incredibly good. 👍
I’m over here trying to break sub 30 minutes 5k 😂
Thanks for the great content. I watched one of your wintering episodes last night which gave me the motivation for a 4.30am gym session today:-)
Loved the video!!! I just started strength training and running :)
After this experiment has any of your goals changed??
I came for you flying off the back of the treadmill, ripped off 🤣
I can only apologise, I will do better.
Another awesome video man. Loved the narrative and really informative!
My HR went into Z5 just watching this! Video idea: how long can you hold 440W on the bike? I think this is the hour record.
Haha my HR is still in z5 - not a chance 😂 too many watts.
Hello all! Get your guesses secured in the comments below before you watch - how long can I hold Kipchoge’s pace for? 👇🏼
(Clue, just remember this is 4:34/mile pace and my mile PB is 4:58…)
5mins 5 seconds
2 miles? ~9.16 min
90sec
Damn I shouldn’t have changed my first guess of 2min….still wrong but closer lol
Well I sold you way short lol
This is insanity. For me, the "fake jog" is like 8.5 km/h and 11 km/h is a serious effort. It is crazy how different speeds look different on different people.
5 mins is insane, i can do 30 sec at this pace before i reach 200 bpm 🤣
if he holds it for longer than 1km ill be very immpressed.
👀
How the hell did he do that for 2 hours that’s insane madness like how hahahaha
So inspirational, you went way further than I thought you would.
I’m guessing 1.05km
Tank
I predict somewhere between five and ten minutes.
And five minutes is where you landed. Great work! I tried this last year in my prime condition and immediately after hitting three minutes I was done! 😅
Great effort!
Video suggestion.....running the West Higland Way.
I deal with the same thing, asthma. I think its technically exercise induced asthma which sucks for distance running lol
Any tips to keep yourself from getting an asthma attack during max intensities like that? I'm a coach with no experience with asthma but one of my swimmers will always get them when they top out.
It would be great to run in Dalkeith at this speed (just to get away )no honestly ,imagine seeing some one run this fast on a street
Amazing effort, I thought you'd manage 2.5-3 minutes so 5 mins is amazing
3... and a half???🤔(imagining a disembodied pair of legs that can talk...)
Above 21 looks fairly easy for him, but this is actually pretty damn fast!!
Every faith you’d keep that up for the marathon
Fantastic effort Treadmill or not that was impressive
I think you will be able to keep that pace for 2 km... That is incredible btw
30 mins for you Fergus!
I’m guessing you will do a miles worth at that pace
You are amazing!
8 mins
Really good video! Love it 🏃♂️
Thank you!
No I didn't know you can check the elapsed time on Strava! oh dear 🙈 haha ....Great vid
Uh oh 👀😂
12 min
I'd say 4min30sec! Goooooooooooooooooo!!!
Youhooou, You crack on my guess! 😀 You monster!
Does anyone know if it's possible to get into powerlifting while training for cross country? My 5k pr is 18:18 but my goals are to get it down to sub 16 while being able to deadlift 500lbs. Right now I'm just bulking to build stability in my muscles to prepare for powerlifting. Is this my best move?
What can you deadlift now?
@@Sean-fz1zg I did 5×5 at 225 pretty easily so I'm guessing atleast 250
@@lukeC22V42I’m assuming you are talking about kilograms?
I say 10 minutes
I was way off😂😂
Glad to see you puttin' out a vid, hope you're doing better man.
Thank you, appreciate it 👊🏼
1 minute
Jeez I was so off. Good job man!
Does this mean you'll be racing Mark Lewis at a Hyrox soon? (please say yes!)
Been looking at the calendar to try and make a Hyrox work this year, but sadly doesn’t fit with the triathlon plans I have slotted in (well, not without compromising performance on both!) - apologies, likely next year 👊🏼
@@ferguscrawley95 nothing to apologise for! - gives me an extra year to try and keep up!
Incredible work brosefus!!
Thanks Clay 👊🏼
I’d say around 6min!
Not too bad actually!
Muscle is not conducive to running. I can confirm this from park run…
It is not, but it is conducive to lifting - which I also do 🤷♂️
@@ferguscrawley95 true
Good effort 👍
Cheers mate!
hi
👋🏼
2mins 15s
Eeeshhhh
Very impressive
You should test yourself at different speed *over* 21 kph and do the match to know how long you'd need to run to catch him if you start 10 sec behind or something
Why does he talk w his hands together the entire time? 🤦♂️🤦♂️😄😅
