    Just what I was looking for. I have troubles of fading out the layer lines of my miniature models, I've to try if that primer does the trick.

    Those layer lines my friend are called Z binding, check it out there are many solutions for that, I'm sure you'll find your solution! Great prints by the way!

    Quick question for you. They sell that primer in paint and primer combo in the one can. Can I use that or specifically primer only?

  • @christian9109

    Thanks so much I wasn’t sure how to work with primer/coating. About how long did you wait for a layer to dry?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  2 роки тому +1

      Awesome glad it helped you.
      I typically give it 24 hours to cure fully. If your in a rush you can add your base coat after 4-5 hours.

    Hello, first of all thanks for the great series. I would also like to start painting soon and this helps me a lot. I noticed that your Hulk has veins on his chest, my version of Eastman doesn't have them, how come

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  3 роки тому

      I know that Eastman had two available in his patreon and this one was the hd version. Hope that helps. Best of luck to you with your future painting!!

    Love your videos keep it up learning a lot from you. Quick question, I read an Amazon review saying that the Vallejo primer dries fast on the airbrush tip. Have you ran into this problem? Or would you recommend adding a little bit of “flow aid” to the primer? What camera set up do you use a go pro or digital camera? Thanks

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks a lot! As for the primer. I have used it a lot and it has happened to me a few times but it was cause I had to leave my booth for a few mins and come back. So if you don’t let it sit it’s just fine goes on great. You always can use flow aid it will never hurt your paints.
      As for camera my iPhone 11 and iPhone X is what I shoot on.

      To answer your question there is websites that you can go to get the stl files. Just search in Google stl for whatever you're looking for an example of the search would be Hulk stl

    when spraying models always attach them to a stick so you can have more mobility with the models.

    My friend just gave me two dice towers that he printed and they look great but I'm not sure how to prime the hard to reach inner parts of the towers. Do I just spray and pray (Pun intended) that I reach all the parts?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  Рік тому +1

      Honestly for something like that… yeah if your using a rattle can. You can also try to get to it with a brush. On the other hand if you can’t see it does it really need paint? 🤷

    • @elmsigreen
      @elmsigreen Рік тому +1

      @@ItsMeaDMaDe It's made from bright red plastic so you can see it quite well. But I've also never primed anything before so I'm just very nervous because I'm such a perfectionist and scared of hating it if it doesn’t look just like I pictured it

    wait so this is printed on an fdm printer? how is it so clean and detailed it looks like a resin print?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  2 роки тому

      Oh man. This isn’t really some of my best printing. Lots of layer lines in the face. But yes it’s FDM. I made a series on how to set up good Cura settings a week ago that might help you out.

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe

      Yeah depending this wasn’t the best print in the world but I was focusing on painting. I sometimes sand my prints. But be cautious cause you can sand away the details.

    • @FenzerMX
      @FenzerMX 10 місяців тому

      It will work better if you have it print slower and at a lower layer height. Just have it print overnight and don’t worry about it. 15 hours ain’t bad at all. My latest one ran for 32 hours

    What do you do about the layer lines?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  2 роки тому

      You can sand them with sand paper. But doing that can remove the details. Primer helps too if you use the fillable and sandable kinds. This model turned out bad with lines but I just used it anyway. A lot of that can be fixed in the print settings.

    wouldve liked to see a bit more about the vallejo primer as i wanna work indoors on a workbench and avoid the nasty fumes of spray cans but i dont know if i need to add anything to that primer like thinner, flow improver, or retarder to get it to lay down good on prints. guess ill just wing it. 🤞
