I wonder if they're going to start selling replacement blades in different blade shapes. Being able to change from a drop point to a dagger while driving through areas with different laws would be nice.

6:23 i like zippo lighter fluid for oiling knives i think it’s kerosene or something but it works great for cleaning fine parts and then it evaporates almost completely away but it leaves just a very fine residue behind like finer than you could apply by any other means. i think a lot of people wouldn’t think it’s enough oil and obviously it may not work for some things but it isn’t wet and heavy enough to attract any dirt or lent and it cleans up after itself so it’s easy to use and i have a capsule zippo lighter on my keychain so i pretty much always have a little bit on me in a pinch.
I don't know if you figured out the flanges issue, but if not, they are meant to close in more when the knife is inside the body. The reason they don't close all the way is because of the small metal piece the blade screws into which guides the knife through the internal channel. It has a notch cut out of one corner. That notch needs to be aligned with a slot on the left side of the mechanism for it to work correctly. I hope this helps

Brother where I’m at in my 40+ year knife collection journey, I find myself drawn to new style, platform,materials and locking mechanisms. This happened to immediately interest me and I had to pull the trigger on it. Materials, craftsmanship, and other things are what is the draw for me. Is it possible for the wings to contact the edge of the blade when it’s only half-open/closed? It seems like it would, but I haven’t seen it mentioned

Remette has their heat treat down as well. They have the hardest M390 I’ve seen. Pretty awesome.
Take note: This is how constructive criticism is supposed to work. For me personally, the pocket clip was the only thing holding this knife back for me when originally reviewed. Now that it has one this is certain buy for sure. Great video, would like to see more companies take advice from their customer base.
Cool design, unfortunately OTFs, whether with a spring mechanism or gravity, are banned in Germany, you are not even allowed to own this type of knife. A machete, on the other hand, is no problem. Completely crazy, but that's the law and that's what happens when bureaucrats who have no idea make laws.
I think I have mentioned it before: I wouldn't send a knife to production without sending the prototype to you, or someone like you. Companies would save time and money by adhering to some kind of checklist and then they would put out better quality products instead of just pumping out unrefined designs. My two cents. You da man! Peace

Reate exo is still king. Too many fail deployments in the videos of the remette. The metal bounces so the remette's locking jaws need to be behind the stop in the blade exact. With the exo, your blade can be like 1/8 inch off and when the handle closes, it pushes it back out to its locking position. Plus with the exo, if you are out of position and not locked, you know immediately before you try to use the blade. See 3:24
if knife companies only listen to sales to take advice: its easy folks, dont buy it until they change their practices.
this opinion primarily goes towards the italian knife companies also.
I only have the budget to buy either the Swordfish or an Exo-M and I can't decide which to buy. Can anyone help me decide and provide some reasons?
I love the Exo knife. I have a ton of them, probably my favorite knife ever.
I personally would go with the exo-m. The deployment seems slightly better on the Exo. Also, having a lock that prevents it from opening is a plus.
I could see your hand or finger slipping on this knife, and it retracting by accident.
That said I ordered two of these as they seem really cool.
The Exo are much smoother and snappier, they also have a very strong lock as well, so exo is probably goingbto be better way to go just for that reason
