Hey guys! This is my entry for the #2023EpicSevenVideoContest. It is a PvP guide for beginners based on the most common questions I get in yt comments & on stream. If you have any further questions, feel free to drop them here OR head on to the Discord where we can have in depth discussions regarding this game that I love just a little bit too much. Thank you for watching. Cheers~
Great guide! The part about how to deal with ranked anxiety in RTA was pretty enlightening, and hopefully it will help more players who might actually have the gear and strategies but are too scared to press the Find Opponent button. Good luck on the contest! :D
very nice, informative and entertaining video... I have started playing for 103 days, i reached champions for playing 2 months following Deity guide and going to you streamers to get some real time advices and look on to some of your matches to help me learn with on how to beat certain team compositions and identifying my team's lose and win conditions. Getting into rta as a newer player, f2p, and a non hardcore pve farmer for pvp units (my team had almost the minimum requirements on clearing wyvern13 for 3 months which only clears 80%+ for 3-4min/stage) will be hard since we have to learn what units do, learn drafting, learn who are the units even? lol and there's 300+ units on the game, learn which playstyle suits owned units and gear tuning as well which there was a lot to take in, just my opinion :). when i started rta, it was pre season and my experience was horrendous. xD I'll also add that i faqed up my resources cause i just yolo gacha my first few weeks. cant fix gacha addiction right lmao
Definitely joined the discord. Sad to say I've been playing this game since SSB came out and never made the pilgrimage 😅 and only played 3 games of rta. I for sure have ranked anxiety lol but I want to get over it so I can see how far I can go.
Make sure you get placements done for rta if you want conquest points when new seasons start. you should gain about 1k points for 8 matches. it's the reward for bronze. Also if you didnt know there are two lv88 speed rings in rta menu that are crazy good. Maybe you might have fun if you arent there to win every game worrying about ranks.
Personally, I don't enjoy any form of competitive gameplay, but I found your videos and character shorts to be very informative! I'll be sure to use this guide in the future when RTA comes out with a skin that I am absolutely down bad for!
Really excellent guide regardless of the account progression you find yourself in! Only thing I'd nitpick from this 5* meal menu for e7 would be the GW section, wish you would've expanded on the havoc interaction as many (I) people zone out in tutorial and miss many things, including the general rule of thumb for attacking small forts and main forts. I didn't even know how to open the Stronghold in the early days, although I guess new players can FAFO and ask around in communities!
If you've got Rimiru, I climbed to challenger with him and Vivian. There's so many Rans and other speed buffers that Rimiru is almost guaranteed 1 shots with okay gear. This video was exactly what I needed to help me focus. I've been kind of just floating around not knowing what to do.
"How to deal with ranked anxiety?" Personally I would just stream my RTA with my friends in DC and maybe at least have some fun, along with getting advice and such from them. Overall your mental state is the most important when dealing with this type of games, so try anything that you can think of to deal with it. Anyways, thank you for the very helpful video!
I suffer hard ranked anxiety, but at the same time ill fp the dumbest stuff because i do my few games a day to avoid deacy. Think of rta as a testing ground since you may find some tech that will be very helpful
The more you do something the less anxiety you get. I used to play card games on stream spent about 5 years doing it. I was never any good but once you gain more experience and start to predict what your opponent is capable of you'll soon realise everyone is winging it lol. It is a game so most people are just there to have fun. The one big thing i'll say is dont get hung up on loses I've known people who are exceptional the best in the world at what they do and there win rate was 65%. The worst thing to do is get frustrated and stop thinking. Play every game to win and if you lose it doesn't matter just try to identify a mistake you made and a strong point about the enemy team. Even if you lose to rng think if you could have made a change to not have that scenario be a lose to rng. Good luck.
Probably going to be an unpopular opinion but I don't care for this change. The old avatar was really distinct and made you standout. It was also just really strong branding with a lot of potential that you did an awesome job capitalizing on with the various costumes. Now it's just... Genshin lookalike avatar #200,063 If it helps your channel grow then awesome but I'm gonna miss the old one.
0:33 idk if the "come on" is because some players are too thirsty, or he is just thinking about that one RTA match where every debuff got 15%ed and every counter procc...for the enemy
Sorry if this is a dumb question quite new to the game but there's just something that I don't get in the guild war offense part starting at 8:12 why would you take for example blue krau when the opponent threat is green.
because green units are hard coded to attack blue. you take a tank because it guarantees that a tank will generally survive an attack. krau in particular takes missing health and attacks back.
Thats an insane guide for new player. Would you recommend going for CLilias and handguy? Or take handguy from moonlight blessing and taking something else from the headhunt event? If yes what would you recommend?
Hey just a little confused with the Guild War Offense section for tanks. Why choose a tank like blue Krau into and grass unit when they have elemental advantage?
because krau's identity is he wants to take damage to scale his damage. the idea is also to intentionally pull the green damage waway from your damag dealers.
Hi i have a question is moonlight headhunting event over as i am a new player and has finished chapter 1 of the story but I Don't find the moonlight headhunting event in the event page
My account is whack. Gear progression is a series of "throw everything on the wall, see what sticks". Arena is still at "just eyeball it" level. Anniversary epic dash has my adhd spike coz of all the new toys. What to play first 🤣🤣
pure skill and intellect? loooooool you mean who has more money to spend on the the game :D You literally said earlier there are only like 1 or 2 f2p players at the top, who probably had RTA as their second full time job to get that high with 4000 matches or more. RTA is credit card flex, thats what it is.

THE GLOW UP POG
this is exactly the kind of intro to pvp i was looking for, great video!

Love the Commander Riolet Fresh AF Getup!
W guide, I felt that one on a spiritual level 💯
Amazing guide. I would love another guide on how to counter specific meta units

no worries, not like the stickman's gone, he'll be around
I miss the stickman too, don't tell captain pavel but I kinda like valky more than valk
wow, love the new avatar
Amazing video valky! Although stickman valky is much better tbh :p so it's not an upgrade!
0:33 idk if the "come on" is because some players are too thirsty, or he is just thinking about that one RTA match where every debuff got 15%ed and every counter procc...for the enemy
gonna have to come watch the stream to find out 😉

Kinda unrelated question but what music did you use for the video?
hi im still learning in e7 can you recommend a aggro or cleave style UA-camrs ty😊
what if you didnt pick spec tenebria ? and lets say pick arby?
CS give xp, xp = reward, reward = money :]

I didnt see tama on list 😮
Valky it's SOO funny man
As someone who play this game for above 1 years its a shame that i stuck in challenger 5 . I'm to lazy to do that lol
Hi i have a question is moonlight headhunting event over as i am a new player and has finished chapter 1 of the story but I Don't find the moonlight headhunting event in the event page
it appears you can no longer activate the event
My account is whack. Gear progression is a series of "throw everything on the wall, see what sticks". Arena is still at "just eyeball it" level.

Well the Marguerite part didn't age well...
We want the stick back 😐
Valky is hot now what are you people talking about
Could you redo the rta playstyle guides they are kinda out dated
To those who want to win PVP Learn how to counter as a F2P player advice
Nooo stick man is gone😢
Do you need to be a whale to play pvp
Correct answer is yes because you should pull for the most broken ML characters.
you make it sound like f2p players have no ways to save for characters when in fact E7 is a known generous game for f2p
VR Femboy is weird
mostly everyone can forget how he said that rta is "skillbased" cause every pvp match in this game is pure luck
pure skill and intellect? loooooool you mean who has more money to spend on the the game :D You literally said earlier there are only like 1 or 2 f2p players at the top, who probably had RTA as their second full time job to get that high with 4000 matches or more. That's...literally what he said in the video.
