Bizarre !
Tell us about the tracks vs. tires. My tires are 2/3 warn out and it would go through that snow no problem. Are they just a gimmick or really worth it? Or did I just answer my own question? Looks like you can't turn 180 degrees without moving forward.
Track are much better for a couple reason, first one being you can adjust the height of bucket on the go and it stays where you placed it unlike a wheeled snowblower that you have to hold in the air to keep it at the good height.(this is REALLY usefull in a 0-3/4'' driveway). The other strong point is that all wheeled snowblower try to climb in snow when there is a lot, a tracked snowblower stay put and blow everything on it's way. You can also climb every type stairs with a small stracked snowblower this is usefull if you have a deck.
I would LOVE to have that much snow. Usually we do, but Global Warming has thrown everything off a little. Sometimes MN gets a lot, sometimes, we get hardly anything. Just a couple of inches
I just tried my new Yamaha 624 for the first time today in some wet sticky heavy Newfoundland snow. It didn't do as well as I hoped. The 6hp engine bogged down quickly even at full throttle and very low forward speed. I could hardly get it to throw 4-5 feet. Had to engage and disengage the drive clutch and leave the auger engaged in order to let it catch up. Good thing I didn't sell my 2009 Toro 8-26 yet. It whizzed through even the snow plow berm. Guess I need a Honda HSS 928, maybe?
Just wondering why you purchased a new snow blower with less HP than the one you already owned?. I owned a 10'HP Toro and replaced it with the Yamaha 10 HP. My point being if you were satisfied with your 8 HP why down size to a 6HP blower & than complain about it not having enough power?? When it comes to removing snow with a blower less is not better as you should have known. I am not trying to be a smart butt or disrespectful but just wondering your thought process. Why did you go with a smaller engine? You must have one or more reasons such as maybe cost?
+K-9 COOPER The reason was that the Toro has a few miles/years on it and I was told that the tracked machines are better, and that a 6-7 hp Yamaha or Honda is still better than a 8-10hp Toro, Ariens, Craftsman, Yardworks etc. The Toro is tiring to use with the wheel design as the front wants to climb up. You have to always lift up on the grips to keep the front down. I guess I really need a Honda HSS 9-28 track drive. Yamaha dealer here only had a 6-24 though
This guy does not know how to use a snow thrower lol. You are forcing it and getting snow into the engine. Also, stop shooting the snow so high. Making extra work on yourself
This is very impressive for a small 6hp engine, can't hear it bog down even in the big snow bank !!!!
How lucky to have this much snow......
操作がすごくうまい。使いこなしている感じだ。
OMG!That little thing eats snow. Holy crap! Just goes to show you don't need to have a huge auger/impeller and a 420cc engine.
This snowblower is a beast!!!

Doesn't seem like Yamaha blowers look suspiciously like Honda blowers?
First day with his new snowblower

@William Sherwood, Perhaps you could post a video showing us how the "experts" throw snow? Typical UA-cam know-it-all.

you should of turned the govener screw in one turn that will give you more power when it hits the heavy stuff.
@@eclipser2004 You could try putting weights on the front of the Toro.
I agree with the others this guy has no clue how to operate a snowblower

Yeah I agree
This guy doesn't know how to use it
