One Lap at the 2024 Camp Coker GNCC (Uncensored)

- Last weekend I had the opportunity to race the Camper Coker GNCC thanks to Jesse Ansley and his wonderful girlfriend Taylor. I raced the Junior A (25+) class and was quickly humbled. After pulling a phenomenal start, I proceeded to work my way backwards for 3 hours. This was a completely different type of riding from anything I'm used to and the 450 was a handful, but I'm stoked to have finished in one piece! Congrats to Jesse for a 7th place finish in the XC2 pro class.

They need to make these tracks with passing in mind. Legit infuriating getting gate kept by slow C riders when you’re in a class above them because there’s no where to pass

@@wee535 I mean that is part of hare scrambles/gncc tho. No racing is going to be easy. People pull off if they can for faster guys, but those faster guys can find their way around lappers pretty easily.
@@wee535actually db, it is part of racing. Dealing with lappers! Also gncc runs two races a day. If you don’t want to deal with slow riders then ride the afternoon race!
@@DB_616 if not having any passing opportunities is a part of race tracks now a days idk. I’ll put on the next GNCC race when I want to fall asleep.
You did good. It was soft and whooped out plus by the pm race it was super rutted. I got clipped pretty hard on my elbow too lol not the best passing.

You did great. You finished, and you were different bike, I would take that as a win. I race hare scrambles and some rides are good and others not. Woods riding is the best. I love dodging trees and riders, especially on my honda xr600r. Keep up on the videos . 😊

Exactly what I was thinking! Croom is nothing but giant scooped out sand whoops.....EVERYWHERE! Roots, ruts and low-hanging vines/ branches are quite frequent as well.

No disrespect meant here, but maybe the B class would've been better. It seems like that holeshot put you in the middle of some faster guys. Especially on a bike you're not familiar with. I would've smoked all the trees. And no barkbusters.....wow.
No disrespect taken. You're right, I would've been a better fit for B class in this race. It's tough making that decision in advance not knowing what to expect. At home, I'm a competitor in A class offroad. While the talent might be higher out east, I'm also significantly faster on my bike and in terrain I'm used to riding. I rode like a B class rider in this race haha.

Does the GoPro make it harder to ride , or cause your neck/ head to feel heavy and get sore ?
GoPro was on my hydration pack strap in this video and I didn't notice it all. Will probably continue to race like this. When I wear it on my chin it definitely makes my neck sore by the end of a race and it's a tradeoff deciding to film races. Chest mounts are uncomfortable as well. AMA doesn't allow helmet cams so I had to find another solution for this race, and I liked this. It's slightly lower quality than chin mount in my opinion, but I sacrifice nothing for it.
Damn you got some skills. Great riding. It sucks that there are so many riders that get impatient and try to pass in the worst spots on the course. But you're going to see a lot of that at any off-road race

i think at around the 22 minute mark on the left bigfoot was holding up a sign that said go kincade.

14:04 no he didn’t fuck up YOU did if there’s no space don’t try to move over until there is space or pull off the the side and stop don’t try to make space it’s understandable since you’ve never raced this before but you’re racing against the best riders in the country if not the world if they really need to get around they will find a way around and but if you get a good opportunity to get out the way do it in a safe spot where’s there’s plenty of room again I’m not hating but stop blaming your mistakes on other riders yes we all make mistakes but that was on you
Lol what…? It’s on the passer to pass safely. You can see Kindcade’s bars almost hit the tree right before the guy tried to pass. Shit take of the day award to you.
