Best collab ft. Mr mobile with this nice green effecient hyundai car, One of my best car makers. Looking so forward more videos on future cars. Nice video Joshua. windows xp walli tho!
I hope not because the way it works is mapping of road and lines. The issue of potholes, debris, construction, lack of well painted lines, it will all cause problems in the long run. Tracking under road may be a safer route, but a dog, child or garbage in road I think will be an issue
Great review of a limiting vehicle. I drive a 16yr. old (UK spec) Ford, that has 5-stage heated & 5-stage ventilated seats. I’m often surprised by how few vehicles have vented seats. 42gals of compressed H and you only get maybe 380mi, that’s 9mpg. From what I can find, hydrogen is weighed by the kilo but pumped by the gallon. 1kg = .26 US gallon If US prices are around $12.85 per kg or .26gal and can be more. And the Nexo has 3x 14gal tanks, then that’s a really expensive $140.32 fill. And you can presently only use it in one state. Talk about starting from scratch.
In a EV running the cabin heater reduces range. You talked about cold and snow, but you didn't mention anything about the heater. I assume the FC like a ICE car has waste heat that can be used to heat the cabin? Thanks for the video.
Door handles popping out....how will this eventually work with winter weather? Is this car only going to be for warmer climate? Thank you for explaining why you changed route. I thought maybe the rain was the issue. Being from Midwest I always find it funny that you need chains for snow.
You talked about the lack of chains in the tires not being safe in that cold/snowy area but specifically what about the hydrogen tank? Would the pressure dropping in the tank be a problem for such conditions? If so, are u aware of Hyundai or others solving this problem?
When you stop and see who owns the hydrogen stations, is the same people that have us hook on oil.... the just don't want people to keep their money... fuck that... electric cars with bateries is the future... i love what you do man... keep up the good work
Ignoring the Hyundai subsidy, how much did the fuel cost per mile - 25c, 30c? How does that compare with a gasoline car? Where does the Hydrogen for this technology originate? Is it from crude oil, or a derivative It's important to know, from a CO2 and pollution perspective. Thanks. Edit: Just watched Mr. Mobile's video, and he answers the last question: 96% from Methane, and splitting Methane with water or Oxygen produces Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide. Not very 'green', more 'greenhouse', then. He also mentions $80+ per partial refill, but doesn't give a proper cost per mile.
OBVIOUSLY, MORE FUEL STATIONS ARE NEEDED ! If I were Hyundai, I would place more fuel stations along Hwy 1 & along Hwy's 10 & 15. I would rent these in Lake Tahoe, with at least 1 station on the N. & S, sides in CA & NV. Place these in the Lake Tahoe Auto Rental fleets. Offer them with FREE Fuel Cards, then Write it off as advertising. I would also place a Hydrogen Station in Victorville & Baker, CA., as well as Las Vegas & Reno, NV. Then place these with 1 Car Rental Co., at LAX, PLUS FREE FUEL, enough to drive to Las Vegas. ONE WAY ! Drop-off in Vegas, Drive Another with FREE FUEL HOME ! Write it off as advertising.
It seems like this is old news because their have been companies that have been doing this sins the early 2000's. What I think would get people more interested is if they could se a helecopter that is fueled by hydrogen.
1st thing...this is NOT an SUV...its a CUV. SUVs are built on truck frames. CUVs are built on car frames. thats why theyre called Cross over Utility Vehicles. 2nd thing... who wants a 2wd CUV?
Thank you for the hard work, Josh. It's quite interesting to learn what's what about a hydrogen car, especially when electric cars are the ones that got so much exposure a lot of time. As for my criticism, you should do something about the mic quality when you're talking in the car. I could barely hear you talking.
Yeah the GoPros couldn't contend very well with the in-cabin noise. I could have edited the audio a little, see what I could pull out, but I was pretty certain it would not make much of a difference. Thanks for watching!
Hydrogen in California is currently priced between $15 and $18 per kg. Most are in the higher range with just a,few at $15 per kg. I drive a Honda Clarity fuel cell and fill up every few days.
@@abruabe Hi Abru. To be honest, I really don't know. I just wanted to give you a proper answer to your question. One guy told you to watch the other video in order to get your answer. The other guy told you the price of each kilo of hydrogen. I just thought you'd like the actual answer to the question. 😉
These men are afraid of snow as he said in the video you just have to put snow chains on a couple of the tires what's the big deal between both of them they can't handle that they can even pay somebody to put the snow chains on
Why does one have to be better than the other? I did a casual vlog-style sharing of the experience while he did a more proper review. I would actually argue that Michael provided more facts about the car, not less, than mine while my video is the sharing of our journey. Did you truly watch both videos to actually get that? Our videos were created to complement each other, to exist together and not in competition. Otherwise, we would not have sat together in a car for days.

Love this car! Also that dude you went on the trip with isn’t that bad either.
For you and Michael it is a must to make more videos like this. At least once in 3 months. Very enjoyable content.

Great video Josh. You work is great. I really like your collaboration with some really good crew. Keep it up. Very well done.
Both of you are awesome.
Great collab on something not smartphone related !!!

It was a real blast. Come along for the next one!

This is much better than people who have millions of subs and do vlogs
Nexo will also be able to drive itself (lvl4) in Korea, hopefully that self driving capability will expand to the rest of the world in 2019.
TrueDesireHD hopefully, but doubt it because of laws
That was for only 20 min driving and hyundai said they don't know when they could product it. sensors are still expensive and the law is obstacle too.

Actually, a big reason Toyota and Hyundai are pushing fuel cell vehicles in their countries is they plan to own the fuel stations.
I can't help but notice that you use oneplus explorer backpack. So, how is it? Is it practical for the roadtrip like that?
Like That Music and the video 😎
For a split second I thought the title said "Hydrogen One Powered Road Trip". I was just thinking, "Noooooooo!!!"
Hydrogen is underrated being that Tesla is the new wave at the moment but I do have hope for it

Still think Hydrogen cars wiill be the future rather than their recharging counterparts.
