Yess totally agreed with everything you’ve said, I visited this fair on November 1 and felt so disappointed and took the metro to lic and went to higginbothams and bought 2 books there
There used to be a book fair named "usedbookfactory", who conducted book fair in same pattern as this but in a cardboard box theme. I suppose this too is he in a guise. You won't purchase books here heartfully but rather rushed towards to fill the box or kilo it. Most books here are garbage and overproduced books like rich dad poor dad, dan brown, The secret. The thick books with glazing titles, we don't even heard of the book's name or the author. One can go here, if he read all the classics and thoughtful books out there, and don't know what to read next. It is a deceptive book fair.
Actually yes. That book fair was named as The " Unlimited book fair ". All the things that you have said are true. The first time I attended that type of book fair it has increased the dopamine dose inside me. I felt very happy that I bagged some good deals. But after the continuous books fair one after another with the same business model I got fed up. There are the same unknown books Everywhere but I changed my perspective and gave a try to read some books that I brought here to get a new perspective but it did not work. And still I'm going to book fairs like this to know if anything has changed. But almost I have attended 6 book fairs like this one but nothing has changed their.
i attended this bookfair, this is a scam to be honest, as you said they have overpriced all books, and they are selling mostly hard bound which will obviously increase the price. Above all, their collections were bad, there were lots of repetition, and also most popular or top rated books were not available. I was super disappointed, i have attended many bookfairs before, this one is not worth it.
Yes madam. We all know that hardcover books are very high in price generally. Most of the time I will look for content in the book rather than how it looks (whether it's paper back or hardcover it doesn't matter). But this book fair stimulated our curiosity and which ultimately resulted in disappointment.
Thank you for the feedback, please find our answers hereby. 1. We are working on categories/genres and you would find the same soon in our upcoming bookfairs. 2. Our bookfairs always have 50-50 distribution of Paperback and hardcover. We request you to please share the videos, so that wrong information is not circulated. We clearly had 3 tables of paperback and 3 tables of hardcover. 3. There is no compulsion on minimum purchase. We sell 1-2 books as well at discounted rates. But for kg based pricing, the minimum was 3 Kgs. However, we have already started giving 1Kgs of books and changed our minimum Kgs condition. We appreciate your video and review, but we also request you to share the right information with proofs. Please share your contact details.
Reply to Point 1: Thank you for changing this. Point 2: on the day I came that was the situation. There were many books which were in hardcover and that's why I included that point and I'm not saying anything wrong about selling Hardcover... It is just my point of view . And yes I don't have the percentage of distribution in numbers. Point 3: on the day that I attended the fair in anna nagar it was still the same compulsion in buying any one of the box and that is why I included that too. Thank you for understanding
