- This was a fun day trip floating the North Fork of the Flathead River from the Ford put in to Polebridge (the Northwest entrance of Glacier National Park) AND a 12-mile bike ride on a potholled dirt road, just for fun. Just a day trip, but though it might be fun for folks who are not familiar with the area or packrafting.
Looks like a fun ride. Are you planning on reviewing the pack raft or showing it off more? Keep the videos coming!
Thanks so much! My raft is ancient, so don't think anybody would be interested in a review . . . except to point out the incredible durability of the Alpaca boats. ;-) Saving my pennies for an upgrade; the newer boats have a much, much better design for whitewater. If/when that happens, I will definitely review!!! BTW, here's a link to another video with way more action: ua-cam.com/video/szO7duF3jPI/v-deo.html
Great video. Thanks for sharing. You literally pedaled past my house. Next time you want to float, I’d be happy to shuttle you. That is a long, dusty bike ride. I have yet to float the river, but it’s on my list.
I appreciate the offer! That certainly wasn't a fun bike ride. Hope our paths cross sometime out in the woods!
Enjoyed your float, Dan.....thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video Dan. I've looked into doing some packrafting. This is a good motivator.
Thanks! It's lots of fun and the new rafts are much better in design than my vintage boat. 😉
I live here! Doing the Canadian border all the way to Kalispell this week!
Awesome! Have a great float, should be excellant conditions.
Looked like a really fun adventure!
Thanks, it was a fun day! Just about to post another float, this time on the Middle Fork of the Flathead with waaay more action. ;-)
that looks fun, i need a pack raft.
It's tons of fun! Expensive to get started, but without doubt one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Enjoyed the Flathead scenery and especially the first person POV from the packraft. A fun video to watch!
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it!
i did the border to Blankenship over nighter. camped on an island. great float.
did dozens of N Fork day floats. love floating the N Fork and stopping for bear claws in Polebridge
It's a great area, for sure. Difficult to access this year due to road construction though.
@@ShastaBubba North Fork road? Been a while since any improvements.
