Gotta love these addon kits
Right!
I got my peekaboo today. I don't think my will she lift up. How do I keep the wheel down? And where do I tie in this cord for the battery cable
It needs to be correctly mounted to your bike's seat post. Double-check that the bracket is securely fastened and that the PikaBoost unit is properly attached to the bracket. There should be a designated port or connector on the PikaBoost unit itself, likely near where the battery case is attached. Look for a matching connector to plug the battery cable into.
How did it perform on hills? I would like to see footage on hills of different grades over 3%. No reviewer is showing hills where most people need the most assist.
thats the thing, if your looking for an ebike get a hub motor, because this kind of kit is prone to slipping on (or even off) of hills
Sorry for not mentioning that in the review (we're from Miami, and most of the streets are flat here). But recently, we experienced its uphill hiding performance, and the assistance is noticeable.
"Review" or "press release"? I've heard these thing aren't good on wet tyres, did you test that?
Thanks for sharing your concerns. As we recently got this conversion kit, this is more like a short overview of our experiences with it so far. Please keep an eye on our channel, as we post updates on how's it been holding up. And yeah, for wet tires, we had no problem so far, but if your tires get muddy, you'll face issues.
just get a hub motor if you want an e bike kit, trust me these will not be future proof
@@A-scketchy-otter-lol Yeah I just bought a recently-released model of e-mamachari here in Japan (where the first ebikes came out in 1993!). It's got an "automatic gearbox" that changes the assist based on torque sensors and whatnot. I took it through wet, muddy sand the past two days and it pulled like a train, hardly slowed down at all!
Not to be rude to the poster, but this method of e bike conversion kits are incredibly inneficient and are very difficult to justify the price for what your getting, a geared hub motor, while more difficult to install is several times more efficient as it actually rotates the tire, whereas this method can easily result in the motor slipping or skipping
You're right. Those are more efficient. But if you want something like, plug and go, they're offering the best features and specs right now.
@@goOutdoorZone I disagree, I see your point but all some take is unscrewing one thing and plugging in two, which is the same as most of the wheel kits
$295 is pretty good
@@PIZZADIVER Ive seen hub kits for $175
pika boost 2 released already?
Yes!
Security is not an Allen key but Torx head bolt , readily available so not a secure measure.
Yeah. Hopefully they'll come up with something better.
I can't cycle and scroll on a phone at the same time. So how do you control the bike? Where is the throttle and is it a thumb lever or twist handle?
You can control its throttle and the modes from the thumb controller.
This is an advertisement and not the review.
What made you think so hahahahahahahaha?
