Did this modification on my 2020 CX5 in the UK. Stop start is permanently disabled but so is the alarm system. Car drives normally with no warning lights on the dashboard.
Replace this hood warning switch part of the security system. No connection to I stop your engine warning lights are vital. I stop responds only to ABS sensors, engine temp, battery level and steering.

The built in Mazda alarm or a third party installed alarm?

Any work shop in Klang valley to this ?pls revert I have got Mazda 3 who wants to remove the I stop function.
Works perfect but you must cover the switch with waterproof electrical tape.
